Where will Cristiano Ronaldo End His Career?

At 38 years old, it’s safe to say that the end of Cristiano Ronaldo’s career is approaching. The Portugal icon is as hungry as ever to play the beautiful game. He has been an active professional for more than 20 years.

While he can still perform to an elite level, his body has started to show signs of wear and tear in recent years. It’s likely that Ronaldo will retire in a few years.

Where will he end his career? You can bet that it may not be Al Nassr. Ronaldo will feel that he still has unfinished business. He may perhaps play at one more club if not two more before he finally hangs up his boots.

The following are places where it is plausible for CR7 to finally end things.

Sporting Lisbon

Ronaldo started his professional career with Lisbon in his homeland of Portugal. He has been continuously linked with a sensational return to the club where it all started in recent years. It is likely that he still does have a strong emotional attachment to the club.

According to some reports, Ronaldo’s mother wants to see him play at Sporting before he retires. His mother is one of the closest people in his life.

Major League Soccer

Major League Soccer is the choice of destination for many star footballers to end their careers. Unsurprisingly, Ronaldo has been linked with a move to the USA.

It would be a match made in heaven if Ronaldo had to join Inter Miami, a club that is co-owned by England football legend David Beckham.

Real Madrid

This one is a bit far-fetched but stranger things have happened. Ronaldo is Real’s all-time top scorer and helped the club win four Champions League titles. He enjoyed the best spell of his career with Los Blancos. The two did not part on completely good terms in 2018, Ronaldo and the club can rectify that with a reunion.
