Much is expected this season for Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid, who are fresh from snatching the La Liga title from rivals Barcelona’s grasp last season. With the calibre of player available to the Portuguese coach, the financial clout behind the club and the intense supporter backing of the Santiago Bernabeu faithful, Los Blancos are expected to whitewash all that crosses their path. The difference whether they can do it or not? One Cristiano Ronaldo. Things have not gone according to plan so far for the Spanish champions in 2012-13, as erratic form has blighted early season ambition. Poor results in the Primera Division see the capital-city side trailing Barcelona by eight points already. The main reason that can be accounted for this is CR7’s ill-content at the club, with the player admitted that he does not feel happy or valued in Madrid. The talented forward has a phenomenal record for the Spanish side, and was the key to ending Barcelona’s reign of power last season. After three years of unequivocal success for the Catalan giants, something special was needed to knock the Camp Nou side off their pedestal. That something was a Cristiano Ronaldo inspired victory for Madrid in Catalunya,....

That something was a Cristiano Ronaldo inspired victory for Madrid in Catalunya, with the ex-Manchester United forward scoring the decisive goal.

This season, despite not being in the best mentality due to the afore-mentioned personal problems, Ronaldo salvaged a lacklustre Madrid side against Manchester City in the Champions League, scoring an individual last-minute winner to save the side’s blushes. Despite the ability of Karim Benzema, Mesut Ozil, Angel Di Maria and countless other superstars in the squad, Ronaldo is the man that makes the side tick.

After filling a similar talismanic role for Portugal at Euro 2012, Ronaldo is well and truly in the running for the next Ballon d’Or. FootballTop is an alternative to FIFA and UEFA rankings that indicates international public rating of clubs, championships, players, national teams; it currently has CR7 is the most popular and most respected player in the modern game.

All legendary teams have their star players that make the side successful. The Brazil side of the 1970’s had Pele, Argentina’s World Cup winning side had Diego Maradona; the difference between success or monumental failure for this Real Madrid side is Cristiano Ronaldo, and the club must do all it can to keep the superstar happy and firing.

Let’s prove that Cristiano Ronaldo is the best footballer nowadays by voting for him on the FootbalTop.com.

The post Cristiano Ronaldo: The difference between success and failure for Real Madrid first appeared on Cristiano Ronaldo Fan | News, Photos, Blog, Pics, Videos.

Despite his disappointing performance against Getafe on the last league match, Cristiano Ronaldo managed to escape Jose Mourinho’s critics. After the match, Mourinho made sure that it was all about team work, and not about one man job. Even that the lost is unacceptable, Mou knew that Getafe played better at that time, and that him, the coach and all the players were on the same boat. From 2 league matches, Real Madrid shockingly only made 1 point, and had to be in 14th place in the league standings rank. Meanwhile, their biggest rival stays strong in the first rank with 6 points, after recorded 2 league victories. The lost over Supercopa first leg in Camp Nou might have caused Real Madrid’s poor performance. It is understandable, since their confidence was swallowed by Barcelona superiority. What they need to do is to get back on their feet, and forget about their failures. However, playing at Bernabeu for the second leg of Supercopa, Mourinho wishes to see a good performance from the White team. Obviously, a home game will give them the advantage, and Mou confident that they will play differently from the last clasico. The second leg will....

The Supercopa El Clasico first leg match will be held at Camp Nou tonight. As the opening game of season 2012/13, the match will determine which is the best between Real Madrid and Barcelona. The question is, will Real Madrid survive the game, knowing that they didn’t start the league season in a fancy way after a 1-1 draw over Valencia last week ? As for Barcelona, it’s out of the question. They have succeeded in tasting their first league victory of the season by trashing Real Sociedad with an amazing 5-1 score. Then again, history still take side on Real Madrid. Statistically, from 5 Supercopa match, Real Madrid have won 4 of them. But we all know, it takes more than just a statistic to win a game against Barcelona. As we all can remember from last Supercopa, the 5-4 score aggregate result for Barca’s victory came from a highly tension match, if we won’t call it violent. Especially the second leg at Camp Nou, where the referee threw a lot of cards, 8 yellows and 2 reds, which showed their brutality on the pitch. Yet the most annoying thing of the game was Jose Mourinho’s unexceptable behaviour....

Yet the most annoying thing of the game was Jose Mourinho’s unexceptable behaviour over Tito Vilanova, for poking his eye.

But enough with that, and let us put more focus on the main object here, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. These 2 players are no doubt are the biggest reason why El Clasico become more interesting.

Besides Real Madrid vs Barcelona , El Clasico can also be called the clash of Messi and Ronaldo. However, based on the last Spanish league performance, Messi is one step ahead Ronaldo. As we can see on the game, Cristiano Ronaldo performance was just so-so, and far from dangerous. He played below his own standards and failed to create threatening shots.

For the disappointing performance, Cristiano Ronaldo made a statement :

“Physically, we’re not in our best condition. This is normal. We will be better, we’ll try to,”said Ronaldo. “We have tried everything, but we still have to reach the highest level we can.”

And while Ronaldo is still working out to get his performance back, Messi already shown his best by scoring 2 goals in the 5-1 winning over Sociedad, and helped Barcelona to stole 2 points in the standings. Not to mention the pre-season friendly matches, where Messi made similar action by scoring more goals.

This condition is tough even for Ronaldo, which all his action on the pitch will be putting in comparison by the press. And what makes it even harder, is that the first leg clasico will be held at Camp Nou, a place that is like a playground for Messi and his teammates. The only thing that Real Madrid can do is to give it all out, with 100% of confidence and optimism.

In the end, apart from the heat between the two team, we still expect to see a fairplay and entertaining football match. And may the best team win.

The post First Leg of El Clasico Supercopa Season 2012/13 – Ronaldo vs Messi first appeared on Cristiano Ronaldo Fan | News, Photos, Blog, Pics, Videos.

Lionel Messi indeed has scored more goals than Cristiano Ronaldo in Spanish League. However, when it comes to away games, Ronaldo has created more goals than the Barcelona’s striker. With the penalty in the last match against Granada, Ronaldo already collects 23 goals in all away league matches. Compared to Messi’s 15 goals in home game, or statistically 0,83 goal per game. The duel between Ronaldo and Messi are endlessly. They have been compared to anything that related to football achievement. While Ronaldo is the king on away match, Messi is considered as a king in home game, since he has collected 35 goals in Camp Nou this season. In statistic, he scored every 1,84 goal in every home match. As for Ronaldo, he only recorded 22 goals at Santiago Bernabeu, with a statistic of 1,22 goal every home game. Until now, there is no other player to score near the amount of Ronaldo’s home game record. The same happened with Messi’s away record, which none other players that ever reach his number of goals. But for Ronaldo, his goal against Granada has adding his record as the first player in La liga to score in 8 consecutive away match.....

It was a proud moment for Cristiano Ronaldo, to score the winning goal in the last la liga Clasico this season. The goal in Camp Nou has marked a new achievement for Ronaldo, personal and also for the club. For Ronaldo, in the last 3 visit to Camp Nou, he never failed to score. The goal also adding to his collection of total 54 goals in all competition. In Spanish League, Ronaldo leads one goal from Lionel Messi, which makes him the top scorer in league competition so far. On the last Clasico match, Ronaldo appeared to be more dangerous than Messi , who had difficulties on having his way off from Madrid’s defenders. While Ronaldo had 6 shots attempts, Messi only made it one time. According to the stats, Messi was barely became a threat for Real Madrid, as if he lost his magic. It was kind of surprising since he had 13 goals in 18 Clasico matches, compare to Ronaldo’s 5 goals in 15 Clasico games. “I’m very happy.

Tonight’s El Clasico at Camp Nou has ended with Real Madrid’s victory of 2-1. Now, Madrid is 7 points ahead Barcelona in the league standings. In other words, the Spanish league title is already in Real Madrid’s hand. Ok, now back to the game. Since early of the match, Barcelona carried their usual tiki-taka style, while the visitor prefered a defense strategy. Barcelona kept their pressure on Real Madrid throughout the match. However, they couldn’t avoid it when Madrid made the opening goal in just 17th minute, through Sami Khedira. It started from a corner kick. Pepe later tried to shot the ball with a header. Valdes managed to save the attempt, but didn’t quite catch the ball. Khedira then saw the opportunity as the ball was infact still infront of the goalpost, so he only need a little push to score. 1-0 for Real Madrid. The score remains the same until the break.
