Who is on Mourinho’s side?

Jose Mourinho and Cristiano Ronaldo; these two men have quite a few things in common. They are both Portuguese, they both have top flight European football careers, and especially… they are both controversial!

However, this doesn’t mean that they team up together like friends.
The former Chelsea boss – now coach of Inter Milan – has more negative than positive things to say when he talks about Ronaldo.

Yes, Mourinho believes that the 23 year old is a good player but he rather describes him as an expert diver and an incomplete over-rated footballer.

“Ronaldo is a good player, but he is not the best in the world,” Mourinho told Simona Ventura on RAIDUE show ‘Quelli Che il Calcio’, hitting back at Fergie who stated that Ronaldo could be like Maradona or Pele.

“When I think of how a player should be, I think of Kaka, Ibrahimovic and Messi [not Ronaldo],”

“Messi is a phenomenon, but in my opinion, Ibrahimovic is the best.”

Well, the Champions League battle between Ferguson and Mourinho will only take place next year, but the game of words has already started.

Cristiano Ronaldo will have the final word on February 24th and April 11th when Manchester United clash with Inter Milan in the Champions League.
