The first leg of Supercopa El Clasico had to end with Barcelona’s victory of 3-2.

Cristiano Ronaldo opened the first goal in minute 55th for Real Madrid’s lead, but unfortunately, Pedro quickly equalized the point by scoring a minute later. The next goal belongs to Barcelona as they awarded with a penalty shot after Ramos made a foul on Andres Iniesta. Messi as the executor did his job well.

In the middle of second half, Xavi Hernandez scored the third goal for Barcelona, and all the hope seemed to be fade away. 3-1 for Barcelona’s lead.

But still, Real Madrid won’t give up just yet. Thanks to Angel di Maria persistent moves, he made the last goal 5 minutes before the match ended. Well, of course, the credit goes to Di Maria and Victor Valdes silly blunder.

The Supercopa El Clasico first leg match will be held at Camp Nou tonight. As the opening game of season 2012/13, the match will determine which is the best between Real Madrid and Barcelona.

The question is, will Real Madrid survive the game, knowing that they didn’t start the league season in a fancy way after a 1-1 draw over Valencia last week ?

As for Barcelona, it’s out of the question. They have succeeded in tasting their first league victory of the season by trashing Real Sociedad with an amazing 5-1 score. Then again, history still take side on Real Madrid. Statistically, from 5 Supercopa match, Real Madrid have won 4 of them. But we all know, it takes more than just a statistic to win a game against Barcelona.

As we all can remember from last Supercopa, the 5-4 score aggregate result for Barca’s victory came from a highly tension match, if we won’t call it violent. Especially the second leg at Camp Nou, where the referee threw a lot of cards, 8 yellows and 2 reds, which showed their brutality on the pitch. Yet the most annoying thing of the game was Jose Mourinho’s unexceptable behaviour over Tito Vilanova, for poking his eye.

But enough with that, and let us put more focus on the main object here, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. These 2 players are no doubt are the biggest reason why El Clasico become more interesting.

Besides Real Madrid vs Barcelona , El Clasico can also be called the clash of Messi and Ronaldo. However, based on the last Spanish league performance, Messi is one step ahead Ronaldo. As we can see on the game, Cristiano Ronaldo performance was just so-so, and far from dangerous. He played below his own standards and failed to create threatening shots.

For the disappointing performance, Cristiano Ronaldo made a statement :

“Physically, we’re not in our best condition. This is normal. We will be better, we’ll try to,”said Ronaldo. “We have tried everything, but we still have to reach the highest level we can.”

And while Ronaldo is still working out to get his performance back, Messi already shown his best by scoring 2 goals in the 5-1 winning over Sociedad, and helped Barcelona to stole 2 points in the standings. Not to mention the pre-season friendly matches, where Messi made similar action by scoring more goals.

This condition is tough even for Ronaldo, which all his action on the pitch will be putting in comparison by the press.  And what makes it even harder, is that the first leg clasico will be held at Camp Nou, a place that is like a playground for Messi and his teammates. The only thing that Real Madrid can do is to give it all out, with 100% of confidence and optimism.

In the end, apart from the heat between the two team, we still expect to see a fairplay and entertaining football match. And may the best team win.

Cristiano Ronaldo failed to give his best at Real Madrid’s opening league match against Valencia. However, on an interview after the match Cristiano Ronaldo stated that the White performance was fine and ok.

“We played well and created opportunities. We played well in the first half, and better in the second, but it was not to be. We had chances to score one or two more goals and get the win. This is the firstmatch and it’s not the best result, but we must continue”.

The”number seven” player also mentioned Pepe’s injury during the clash with Iker Casillas on the game. That time, the two players had a collision while Iker tried to clear a shot. Pepe is now at the hospital, and stayed overnight for observation.

“It’s a shame about Pepe and we hope it’s not serious and he recovers soon”.

And now, rather then cried over the 1-1 draw, Cristiano Ronaldo put more focus on the next Supercopa match against Barcelona, that will be held next Thursday. No doubt, the match will put their rivalry into a new level.

“Now we are only thinking about the match against Barcelona. We have a Supercopa match that we have to win. We will give out all to win the game there and then  win the title”.

“The city has not changed. It’s very hot and very humid, not very different to when I came here with  Manchester,”said Ronaldo on todays press conference in Guangzhou.

On the event, he spoke about the Clasico Supercopa against Barcelona, that will start this month.

“It is always important to win, but now we concentrate on the preparation. Of course it will be difficult to stop them, but now we are focused on the training day.”

When compared with Real Madrid performance last season, Ronaldo said “I can’t answer that question yet. When the competition starts, we can have this conversation, but the truth is we have new great players. It’s a long season and there will be many big games. In time you will see the difference. ”

Ronaldo also asked about his possibility to return to England, and as always, he answered, “Why not, you may never know”

But when he asked whether they need to sign another striker or not, Ronaldo tried to avoid the question, and leave the answer for the club’s President.

Ronaldo also admitted that he doesn’t feel worry about his rivalry with Messi and Xavi Hernandez, for UEFA Best player Award.

And for the friendly match tomorrow, Ronaldo is excited to play against Guangzhou Evergrande. Despite it’s only a friendly, Ronaldo said that he wanted to win the match, because it could help them when the season starts.
