Real Madrid was on fire at Bernabeu, when they defeated Barcelona in Supercopa second leg last night. In the first half, the Whites literally squashed their rival, with 2 goals against nothing in just 20 minutes.  We can say that Mourinho has brought Real Madrid to another level.

Gonzalo Higuain scored the opening goal at minute 11th, and soon after that, Cristiano Ronaldo doubled the lead for Real Madrid.

Messi’s goal at the end of first half almost destroyed Mourinho’s plan, but luckily 10 men Barcelona weren’t enough to stop raging players who thinks of the field as their playground. The results, Barcelona player lost their tiki-taka style, and tried to use similar counter attack strategy as Real Madrid. But Barcelona is no master of the strategy, and they have failed despite a couple of nice attempts.

In the end, Real Madrid named as the winner of Supercopa after defeating Barcelona with 2-1.

To make a new 100 point record, Real Madrid have to win all the rest of the matches, against Bilbao and Granada in away game , and hosting Mallorca at the last match.

Real Madrid best record was with Manuel Pellegrini back in season 2009/10, when they lost to first place Barcelona who collects 99 points.

But based on the first leg match against the 3 last clubs, Real Madrid will surely win the game (Real Madrid 4-1 Bilbao)(Madrid 5-1 Granada)(Mallorca 1-2 Madrid). And if they get through it, they will end the season with a fantastic achievement, as the first time ever to collect 100 point.

So far this season, the Spanish Giants have had three tests: a match against Manuel Pellegriniâ€s former club Villarreal, a clash in Andalusia against Sevilla, and a gigantesque battle against AC Milan in the Champions League lately.

Out of these three games, Real Madrid have won one and lost two.

Against Villarreal at the El Madrigal, Cristiano Ronaldoâ€s goal in the opening minute considerably raised the game for Real Madrid. Kaka then rounded up the score line with a penalty in the second half to seal Los Blancos†victory against the Yellow Submarines.

Unfortunately for Cristiano Ronaldo, the match against Villarreal has been his first and last important game for Real Madrid. The talented Portuguese play-maker then sustained an ankle injury against Marseille in the Champions League, which has sidelined him for up to a month.

So the Spanish Giants had to cop without the services of Cristiano Ronaldo against Sevilla in the league and AC Milan in Europe.

Coincidently, Real Madrid lost both of these games. Dangerous mistakes in defense and inefficiency inside the 18-yard box have cost Real Madrid dearly.

Although the referee was to blame in Wednesday nightâ€s 3-2 defeat at home to AC Milan, some Madrid players could be singled out for failing to assume their responsibilities – mentally as well as physically.

There is a sense that Cristiano Ronaldo carries a big part of Real Madridâ€s strength in depth and psychology.

Well, such a conviction could be completely false in reality.

The worst that could happen to the Red Devils after securing the Carling Cup and an UEFA quarterfinal place this month is indeed happening in the most frustrating manner.
With seven goals conceded in their last three Premiership games and two losses against Liverpool and Londonâ€s Fulham, the World Champions look more beatable than ever this season.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who seemed to have given his all last week against the Merseyside Reds, was the home fans†clown on Saturday afternoon at Craven Cottage.

Manchester United were out to correct themselves after a humiliating 4-1 defeat at the Theatre of Dreams against Liverpool, this time with a trip to Fulham whom they previously trounced 3-0 and 4-0 in the EPL and the FA Cup respectively.

However, despite Ferdinand declaring his excitement and readiness ahead of the Fulham game, Manchester Unitedâ€s psychological strength was still questionable.
Alex Ferguson had revealed earlier in the week that winning the quintuple was a dream he had given up, while Liverpoolâ€s boss Rafael Benitez was all smiles putting pen to paper for a new 5-year-contract with his current club.

The smell of a title switch from the Red side of Manchester to the Red side of Liverpool was very much in the air. It was down to Fergieâ€s boys to let it fade away.

Only eighteen minutes had run down the clock and Manchester Unitedâ€s veteran player Paul Scholes was already sent off after handling the ball on the goal line. Danny Murphy had the opportunity to score past Van der Sar for the sixth time in just over 200 minutes and he didnâ€t miss it.

From there, the Red Devils†task was to overcome Fulhamâ€s formidable performance and the numerical disadvantage. But it went without saying that United – who didnâ€t create much trouble for the hosts – felt the frustration. One man amongst the Reds†ten men on the pitch who couldnâ€t hide his anguish the least was Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo finally sustained a yellow card in the second half; he could easily have seen red if the referee had decided to punish him from protesting the judgment. But Fulhamâ€s keeper Schwartzer always looked alert enough to save every single ball.

If the second-half introduction of Wayne Rooney gave Manchester United the attacking sense they lacked off, it also spiced up the game with some controversy.
Fulham rounded up the game on 87 minutes when substitute Zoltan Gera fired the ball past the 38th-years-old Dutch keeper from Andy Johnson’s cross, much to the frustration of Wayne Rooney who wanted to waste no more time. This resulted in him being sent off for aggressively protesting at the referee for an United free-kick to be taking quickly.
But Fulham fans wouldnâ€t mind whatever had to be the perfect decision there. Their team had beating United for the first time in 45 years on a very bad day for the Red Devils.

Manchester United failed to reaffirm their authority, loosing back to back for the first time in over three years. The title race is still wide open to Liverpool especially who later trounced Aston Villa 5-0, while Chelsea lost to Tottenham on Saturday afternoon.
