Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo has completely recovered from a hamstring strain that has caused him to miss the club’s last two games.

The 28-year-old suffered the injury against Almeria on November 23, causing him to miss the Champions League win over Galatasary as well as the league success against Real Valladolid.

While Gareth Bale shone in his absence, scoring a hat-trick, Ronaldo has revealed he has made a full recovery and is now ready to return to action.

The Portuguese said: “I have been fine for a couple of days. I no longer have an injury.

“We preferred not to push things against Valladolid but I will there for the next game for sure.”

Real’s next game is a King’s Cup clash against third division, Olimpic de Xativa on Saturday.

While Ronaldo would usually be rested for this type of game, boss Carlo Ancelotti may use it as an opportunity to boost his fitness ahead of the trip to Copenhagen next week.

He will be eager to end the year on a high after a record-breaking season, which has seen him take pole position in the race for the 2013 Ballon d’Or.

The former Manchester United striker, who last won the coveted trophy in 2008, has scored 14 goals in his last seven games for club and country and had admitted he is delighted with his recent form.

Ronaldo continued: “I am on good form. It’s possible that it is the best start to the season of my career but the past few years have also been very good.”

With a hamstring injury, Ronaldo needs at least 2-3 weeks of recovery. His injury is consider to be worse then it seems, since his femoral biceps in his left thigh is swelling, and there’s a fluid around the injury. To recover, it needs a series of physiotherapy. If it takes 3 weeks for him to get better, then he will return on April 10th. It means, he could miss a match against Sporting Gijon (3/4), Tottenham Hotspur (6/4) and also Athelico Bilbao (10/4).

“Physically, my condition is not too good. I want to quickly recovered for 100%. Suffering an injury always makes me worried, and it can affect my psychology, “Ronaldo opened his concern about the injury.

But despite being tired facing all medical problems, he tried to be professional. He won’t do anything like forcing his condition to recover more quickly, and won’t be playing unless the medical team allowed him to.

Early on March, he had  an injury when he played against Malaga, but able to returned in time for Lyon’s 2nd leg Champions League match.

But last week, after having a derby match against Atletico, Cristiano felt pain and had inflammation on the biceps femoris of his left thigh.

He quickly got examined at Hospital Sanitas La Moraleja, for a medical check up. And as for the result, he was diagnose with a muscle injury grade I in the femoral biceps of the left leg with component interfascial edematous fluid. It was similar with his last injury.

And now, according to Real Madrid official statement, Cristiano will be sidelined for 2 to 3 weeks, depends on the recovery. Which mean, he won’t be able to play on Portugal’s friendly against Chile and Finland this month, and doubtly to play against Tottenham Hotspurt for Champions League quarter final early April.

At the relief of all the millions of Cristiano Ronaldo fans around the world, the player is reported to feel fit and ready enough to feature for Real Madrid this weekend.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been out of regular football for almost two months now, also missed as much as nine competitive games for the Spanish Giants.

By the way, Cristiano Ronaldoâ€s prospective participation in this weekendâ€s La Liga match for Real Madrid against Racing Santander is also due to the Portuguese FAâ€s understanding of the issue.

According to FIFAâ€s Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players, no player who has skipped his international duties through injury has the right to feature for his club before five days have passed since the last match of his respective country.

The player only has the right to do so after being given the green light by his national team. In Cristiano Ronaldoâ€s case, Real Madridâ€s game against Racing Santander comes only three days after Portugal would have played Bosnia Herzegovina on Wednesday.

But Portugalâ€s Football Federation (FPF) have agreed to let Ronaldo feature for the Spanish giants as soon as possible.

Their statement read:

“The FPF already expected that it will not be possible to call up the player [Cristiano Ronaldo]. We believe that he was not able to play then.

“However, if he has recovered, Real Madrid may use him whenever they want. We will not prevent anything.”

However, there is one man who believes that Cristiano Ronaldo must not rush with the aim of returning on the field rather than being on the sidelines.

This person is Rafael Marquez, Barcelonaâ€s defender who experienced the same injury that Ronaldo sustained late in September.

The Mexican explained the extent of the injury. He said:

“Itâ€s not easy because it is a bruise inside the bone and healing it is difficult. It takes time to cure from this. This is what happened to me.”

Cristiano Ronaldo has received a call-up to the Portuguese national team from Carlos Queiros and he is expected to halt his Real Madrid fitness program to assume his national duties.

The current World Player of the Year injured his ankle in late September during a Champions League encounter at the Santiago Bernabeu against Marseille.

Despite being declared unfit to play by Real Madridâ€s doctors for up to two-four weeks at that time, Cristiano Ronaldo featured for his country against Hungary where he lasted less than half an hour.

His inability to resist in this game saw him come off as a substitute and further tests carried by the Spanish giants†medical staff reported that the 24-year-old would only be able to return to action by November 8th.

Later on, strange complications in the recovery of Cristiano Ronaldoâ€s ankle injury delayed the playerâ€s return to another one month.

However, with Cristiano Ronaldo expected to feature for Portugal against Bosnia Herzegovina on November 14th and November 18th under the will of the countryâ€s coach Carlos Queiros, there is a strong possibility that his health issues will be aggravated.

According to Doctor Niek van Dijk (the Dutch surgeon who made the operation on Cristiano Ronaldoâ€s ankle last year), the Portugal captain must not return on the field of play until ten or more days are over.

The Dutch has ordered a special program in order to test the strength of Cristiano Ronaldoâ€s ankle and he believes that the player could feature for Real Madrid on November 22nd against Racing Santander if only his ankle recovers in time.

However, should the bone in Cristiano Ronaldoâ€s ankle fail to reset any time soon, then an operation will be needed.
Therefore, the € 94 million signing will need more time up to two months to recuperate his form – meaning that he will miss around twelve games for Real Madrid and only return to football in January next year.

Real Madrid are very much aware of such an alarming situation which will involve their most expensive prized asset, Cristiano Ronaldo.

The club is fuming at Carlos Queiroz decision to select Ronaldo in the Portugal roaster and they are ready to do everything that it takes to prevent the player from playing for his country this month.

In a released statement from the Spanish giants, it was said:

“On Monday, we will send all the medical evidence from both our medical doctor and surgeon Niek van Dijk to the Portuguese federation, which indicates that Cristiano Ronaldo is injured and unavailable.”

“He is an injured player who must follow his recovery process, and therefore, if they (Portugal) want to check (the injury), we invite them to come to Madrid to do so. It is not that we refuse to let him go, but we stick to the regulations, as it has already occurred in other cases.”

Well, in spite of all that, it has been reported that Cristiano Ronaldo wants to play for his country Portugal in the two-legged World Cup play-off tie against Bosnia Herzegovina in some days to come.

The dates for these crucial games are on November 14th and November 18th and Portugalâ€s boss Carlos Queiros is expected to reveal his national team squad this coming Sunday.

The former Manchester United assistant manager is ready to include the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo who is believed to have an ankle injury.

However, Portugalâ€s Football Federation President Gilberto Madail defended Queiros†decision to have Ronaldo in the roaster by explaining this:

“Cristiano wants to come. He will come over to the squad and he will be reviewed by the medical team.”
