Manchester United’s number 7 Cristiano Ronaldo is back in the Red Devils squad for the first time this season.
The reigning European footballer of the Year will certainly feature in tonight’s Champions League game at Old Trafford when the Big Boys start the defence of their title against Spanish club Villareal.
On Tuesday, it was reported that Ronaldo had completed full training ahead of this game. The Portuguese’s return comes as a major boost to Fergie’s side that already possesses big guns like Tevez and Berbatov in front.
This is probably the earliest come back Ronaldo could do and it promises to be a good return.. The PFA player of the year told the press that fans should expect the best of him. Cristiano Ronaldo – last season’s European top scorer – will go in tonight’s match with the aim to extend his reign in European football, knowing very well the big threat that other good players like Messi and Torres may cause as they all vie to succeed him as Europe’s best footballer.
Cris has promised to play for the Reds with total commitment and tonight’s game will give him the chance to prove all the effects that a devoted spirit can have on the pitch.
