Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo’s incredible La Liga record

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo is just 10 goals shy of the 200 goal mark in La Liga.

Cristiano Ronaldo may be 29 years of age, but he is showing no signs of slowing down.

On Sunday, the Real Madrid forward scored a record-equalling 22nd hat-trick in La Liga.

The Portugal international was on target three times against a hapless Athletic Bilbao side at the Santiago Bernabeu to lead Los Blancos to comprehensive 5-0 victory.

Ronaldo’s goals on Sunday saw him go just 10 short of the 200-mark in the Spanish top flight in just 171 appearances.

The former Manchester United star has been tearing apart La Liga defences for over five years now and has elevated himself to a whole new level.

Another aspect of the 2013 FIFA Ballon d’Or’s game that is often ignored is the number of assists he provides. Since his arrival in the Spanish capital in 2009, Ronaldo has provided 50 assists in La Liga.

Ronaldo’s overall game this season has been just as brilliant as it was last – maybe even better. The former Sporting Lisbon hero has scored 13 goals in just six league matches rhis season so far. He has created 14 chances for his teammates, has provided one assist and has a pass accuracy of 86%.
