The world rates Barcelona’s Lionel Messi ahead of Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo. But ahead of El Clasico, Everton’s captain Phil Neville revealed that CR9 had the edge over the young Argentine.
On evertonfc.com, Phil Neville explained why he prefers Ronaldo to Messi. A statement read:
“It is Cristiano Ronaldo, for me.
“He can score, he is good in the air, he is fast, he can score with his left and right foot. He has all the skills you could want. I think he is the most complete player at this time. At this moment, he is my favorite player.
“There is not a lot to choose between Ronaldo and Messi, though. They are both players that don’t really play in a position, they just go onto a pitch and work their magic.
“There is very little to choose between them. But for me, Ronaldo has the edge.”
