Cristiano Ronaldo scores debut La Liga goal
The € 94 million mega signing displayed a relatively average performance in the first half as he missed a host of shots. However, nothing could be taken away from him in the second period.
Cristiano Ronaldo dazzled with pace and tricks. He ran through defenders and made accurate crosses much to the pleasure of the Real Madrid fans that packed the stadium.
The given moment came when Raul was brought down in the area. Cristiano Ronaldo nicely executed the penalty to put Real Madrid in front for the second time in the game.
After Real Madrid’s hard-fought 3-2 victory, Cristiano Ronaldo told the media:
“The first game is always the most difficult. It is always important to win the first game. There is a great feeling after this match.
“I am very pleased with our performance. We showed some good aspects and some others that we must improve.
“The important thing was to win, and we did.”
Concerning his performance compared to the money involved in his mega move from Old Trafford, Ronaldo declared:
“I am at a great club. I will prove to myself, my family, those who love me, and those people who hired me that I am worth it. I can say no more. Just work.”
Is Cristiano Ronaldo ready to take the Spanish Primera La Liga by storm?
