David Moyes: Return of Ronaldo is possible

David Moyes has admitted he would love to work with Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United and has hope that one day it could materialise.

Ronaldo has been at the very top of the game for years but this season he has somehow managed to take his game up another notch and wherever you look, the numbers are mind boggling.

He has scored 66 times in 2013 (Ribery and Messi combined have scored 64) including 56 in 46 appearances for Real Madrid but will finish an incredible year on a personal level without any silverware.

Rumours of a Ronaldo return will always be around and speaking to MUTVMoyes was effusive in his praise for Ronaldo and kept the option open for him to return.

“Everyone at Manchester United would tell you he is the best in the business anyway,” Moyes told MUTV.

“I have not been fortunate enough to work with him but there is still hope some day it might be possible.”

United could not have turned down an £80 million offer from Real Madrid for Ronaldo because of his desire to move to Spain but that price looks like a bargain now. He also single handedly steered Portugal the World Cup and deserves to win the Ballon d’Or this year. He is unstoppable.

Whether he will return to Old Trafford in the future remains to be seen but it would be incredible to have Ronaldo back,  Machester United Manager Moyes said.
