Cristiano Ronaldo: I want to be like Giggs.

2008’s Ballon d’Or winner and World Player of the Year Cristiano Ronaldo has somehow hinted his desire to remain at Manchester United for life.

The Portuguese Superstar winger was and is still been linked with a move away from Old Trafford to Spanish Giants Real Madrid. Reports that the 24-year-old has made a pre-signed contract with Los Blancos that should allow him to become a Real Madrid player in the summer makes Cristiano Ronaldo’s switch to Real Madrid an even bigger possibility.

However, the Manchester United number 7 has constantly avowed his desire to remain a Red Devil, and now he has come out to reveal that he’d love to emulate his teammate and veteran Ryan Giggs.

Cristiano Ronaldo – who handed over his PFA title to Ryan Giggs last Sunday – was full of praise for the 35-year-old former Welsh captain. Speaking to The Sun, Ronaldo declared:

“It’s an unbelievable achievement,”

“And he deserved his award because he’s had a fantastic season, helping the team to score goals.”

Cristiano Ronaldo was all the same voted in the PFA Team of the Year for the fourth consecutive year running alongside five other Manchester United players.

On Wednesday night, Ryan Giggs made his 800th appearance for the Red Devils against Arsenal in the Champions League and Cristiano Ronaldo was full of praise and admiration for Giggsy:

“800 games is unbelievable and I hope to be like him one day.”

The question now remains: Are these flattering words or a true saying that will come to happen?
