Currently with 91 years, the hero of the fight against apartheid honored the Portuguese delegation to this call. Just this week confirmed the presence of Mandela in the opening game of proof, that Friday, between Mexico and South Africa.
Nelson Mandela rarely leaves home and agreed to go to the game after strong insistence by FIFA.
The three elements of the Portuguese delegation traveled to Johannesburg, the home of former president, and missed the safari tour with the rest of other players. For information, Portugal players was scheduled in a safari tour for the day and Nani, despite his injury still join the trip.
