Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick in Real Madrid’s city derby against Atletico Madrid last Wednesday. The team won a big 4-1 at Vicente Calderon Stadium, thanks to the help of Ronaldo’s amazing performance.

Ronaldo scored the goal in minute 25 (through a freekick), 68( again, another 35 yard shot )and 83 (penalty). The last goal was created by Callejon, with the help from Ronaldo’s assist.

The 3 goals has added to his collection in la liga to 40 goals, surpassed Messi’s 39 goals record.

The 40 goal also marked his last season’s goal, (although according to Marca.com, Ronaldo collects 41) , where he won the El Pichichi title.

With the hattrick, Ronaldo also exceeded Messi’s hattrick this season with 7 times, while Messi had 6 times.

However, in total number of goals in all competition, Ronaldo collects a lower number than Messi. So far, Ronaldo only scored 52 goals, 9 goals lesser than Messi. But still, Messi plays more matches than Ronaldo, including his appearance in FIFA Clubs World Cup.
