The career of Cristiano Ronaldo has now spanned more than 20 years. Even his harshest critics have to admit that it has been a legendary career which will be spoken about for a long time after we are all gone.
Prior to his spell with Al-Nassr, Ronaldo played for five clubs. Today, we look in brief at what each club produced.
Sporting Lisbon (2002-2003)
It was at Sporting where Ronaldo honed his craft and showed his potential as a youngster. His impressive displays led to Manchester United signing him in 2003.
Manchester United (2003-2009) (2021-2022)
Ronaldo proved that he would go on to become one of the world’s best players during his first six year spell with Manchester United. In this time, he claimed three Premier League titles and one Champions League. He also earned two Premier League Player of the season titles in this spell.
Ronaldo’s second-coming with United in 2021 was not as successful by his standards. He still did finish as United’s top scorer in his only full season in his second spell as he scored 24 times in all competitions.
Real Madrid (2009-2018)
It was during this spell that Ronaldo established himself as one of the greatest ever. He finished with greater than a goal a game with Madrid, scoring 311 La Liga goals from 292 appearances. In this time, he helped the club win two La Liga titles and four Champions League trophies. Had it not been for one Lionel Messi, Madrid would have won more Champions League titles in this time.
Juventus (2018-2021)
Ronaldo’s move to Juventus came later in his career as he was 33-years-old at the time. He proved that he could reinvent himself at his age as he still went on to score 81 Serie A goals from 98 appearances which is impressive in the defensively minded league. He helped the club to win two Serie A titles though failed to help it land that elusive Champions League crown.
