After celebrating his victory for the Fifa Player of the Year award, Ronaldo shifts his focus back on business. As things look good for United in this second part of the season, the Portuguese Superstar is already looking at a brighter future for his Mancunian team.
Speaking to The Sun, Ronaldo said:
“It’ll be very difficult but we will try. Why not? We want to win everything this season and I know it’s possible because the team, spirit and desire is still the same.
“So we have to think we can win all four. The priorities for us are the Premier and Champions League but it would be great to create history by winning all four.”
The Red Devils have a one-goal deficit going into the second leg of their Carling Cup semi final match later this month, but comfortably qualified for the fourth round of the FA Cup with a 3-0 win away to Southampton earlier on.
“We are favourites to win the title and are in a great position,” Ronaldo continued, talking about the Premiership.
“We have to win our next two games. If we can do that, then it will be hard for anyone else to beat us because we will do our best to stay there. We know it’s tough but we’re confident.â€
Confidence is what made Ronaldo great as he is now. The little kid from Funchal in Madeira is now a reigning king on the planet of soccer.
Manchester United play Wigan Athletic on Wednesday night and Ronaldo is expected to start from the bench.
