The first leg of Supercopa El Clasico had to end with Barcelona’s victory of 3-2.

Cristiano Ronaldo opened the first goal in minute 55th for Real Madrid’s lead, but unfortunately, Pedro quickly equalized the point by scoring a minute later. The next goal belongs to Barcelona as they awarded with a penalty shot after Ramos made a foul on Andres Iniesta. Messi as the executor did his job well.

In the middle of second half, Xavi Hernandez scored the third goal for Barcelona, and all the hope seemed to be fade away. 3-1 for Barcelona’s lead.

But still, Real Madrid won’t give up just yet. Thanks to Angel di Maria persistent moves, he made the last goal 5 minutes before the match ended. Well, of course, the credit goes to Di Maria and Victor Valdes silly blunder.

On the last season, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi both competing and became the best. Cristiano Ronaldo with his first league trophy, and Messi with his goal record. Statistically, Messi leads with 73 goals, 28 assists, and 59 caps, while Ronaldo in second place with 60 goals, 15 assists and 54 caps.

In season 2012/13 that  soon will start, the two best players in the world will again compete in the same field. But before that, praises came from other athletes for their superiority.

Last summer, Kobe Bryant, Lebron James and Kevin Duran from US basketball stars mentioned Messi as the best footballer. According to Lebron, Messi is not only the best on his time, but also in history.

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo also received supports from his fellow athlete. Usain Bolt, the fastest runner in the world chose him as the best players since he has more complete skills as a footballer.

On the internet world, Cristiano Ronaldo no doubt win the competition as he managed to collect over than 47 million fans. Messi, on the other hand, got left behind with 10 millions fewer fans. On Twitter, in less than a year, Ronaldo already grab 12 million followers, which consider as a great achievement for an athlete. As for Messi, he doesn’t have a single account on Twitter.

What about Balon D’Or Trophy ? This year, Ronaldo and Messi still competing to become the winner, alongside Andres Iniesta as one of the three finalists. On the last 3 season, Messi have won the title, while Ronaldo had to satisfy as runner up. But who deserves the trophy this year ?

For Messi, he only able to end the season with his personal record and Copa del Rey trophy. As for Cristiano Ronaldo, he managed to win his first league trophy with Real Madrid. Based on this fact, the competition is getting tighter.

Another interesting fact in the beginning of the next season, is that Messi is now under new coach, Tito Vilanova. This situation could be an advantage for Ronaldo, as he gets more comfortable with Mourinho.

So, we just have to wait until the season starts at August 19th to find out which player will shine in season 2012/13.

On Monday night, it was always likely that Barcelonaâ€s Argentine forward Lionel Messi would be crown the FIFA Player of the Year 2009. However, Real Madridâ€s Portugal attacker Cristiano Ronaldo didnâ€t left the event empty handed.

The decorated superstar took away the FIFA Puskas Award which goes to the player who scored the best goal of the season. It was given to him by former FIFA Player of the Year George Weah and by the widow of the legendary Ferenc Puskas, Madam Erzsebet Puskas.

120,000 football fans had the right to chose and vote on FIFA.com among nine other great goals. Michael Essienâ€s hot strike and Andres Iniesta screamer in the Chelsea v Barcelona game, Grafiteâ€s backheel against Bayern Munich, as well as Fernando Torres†unstoppable volley against Blackburn Rovers were all part of the ten-goals list.

But it was Cristiano Ronaldoâ€s 40-yard strike for Manchester United against FC Porto in the quarter-finals of the Champions League that came on top of all.

That particular goal helped Manchester United edge 3-2 past the Portuguese champions on aggregate after being held 2-2 at Old Trafford in the first leg.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who was all smiles during the whole of the evening, gladly declared on the podium:

“Iâ€m very proud of this award. It is a great honor for me.”

Cristiano Ronaldo became the first player to win the FIFA Puskas Award which has just been introduced by FIFA in honor of Hungaryâ€s legendary captain Ferenc Puskas.

Speaking to FIFA.com later on, Cristiano Ronaldo reflected on the nature of that amazing goal which landed him the FIFA Puskas award. He affirmed:

“It was incredible… a fantastic goal. I wouldnâ€t be able to tell you how I scored a goal like that if you asked me.

“Itâ€s just about hitting the ball hard and seeing the net flap. Thatâ€s all.”

The reason behind the furious talking that took place on the field was all about the “diving” issue.

Andres Iniesta had initially fallen to the ground despite not being hit by any heavy contact or tackle. Cristiano Ronaldo then attempted to pick him up with the thought that “diving” was not supported in El Clasico.

Apparently, the Spanish midfielder got angry and this is what he explained to Onda Cero after Barcelona’s victory over Real Madrid:

“It got me annoyed when Cristiano Ronaldo asked me not to dive because he’s certainly not the best person to rebuke anyone about that.

“He shouldn’t be telling anyone if they dived or not.”

Even if Andres Iniesta was right in his statements, he should also remember that one should remove the speck in his eye before trying to do so for someone else.

Do you guys remember how Barcelona cheated past Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the semi-finals last season? Does anyone remember how Gerrard Pique and Samuel Eto’o handled the ball in the penalty box at separate occasions in that particular game? Has anybody forgotten the fact that Chelsea’s first free-kick just outside the box in the opening minutes should have rather been a penalty?

Well, when you are proud of being part of a team that cheated their way through Champions League success, you cannot really talk about another person being unclean.

Check your pants first before teasing someone else! Lol
