Both Portugal and Czech Republic can secure the first quarter-final place when playing each other on thursday, a win for any of the team is enough.

Like many, the Czechs were impressed by Portugal’s opening game and believe they are the favourite for the title.

“Everybody talks about Ronaldo, but they have a number of dangerous players. Deco stars in the midfield, Gomes is dangerous up front, as well as Simao and Quaresma.”

“Ronaldo is not alone,” said Marke Jankulovski, defender in Czech Republic.
