Cristiano Ronaldo 1 goal against Sporting Gijon has marked his 300th goal in his entire football career. The goal also broke his last year record with 41 goals.

Real Madrid won 3-1 on the game, with other 2 goals came through Gonzalo Higuain and Karim Benzema. The 3 strikers now have collected total 107  goals for the team.

Real Madrid succeeded in bringing home another victory against Sporting Gijon, and shuts Barcelona’s chance to catch up their points in the league standings .

With the 3-0 victory,  Real Madrid managed to maintain their distance against the strongest rival Barcelona with 6 points.

The next match will be the Clasico clash between the 2 Spanish giant. For Madrid, victory is a must to widen the points with Barca. With 9 points away, they will be harder to overtaken.

In Spanish League match, Real Madrid was far from being a violent team. But somehow, Ronaldo always get the most foul in every matches. This season in La liga, he already sent 2 players, Botia and Galan with red card, plus 4 yellow. None other player in the competition has received that many fouls from the opponent. But again, it was Ronaldo who took the blame, as a diver.

The opponents tries to use Ronaldo’s labil emotion when it comes to a game. The Portuguese player often protest, and provoke the jury when he got a lot of pressure on the field. The result, his behaviour was unacceptable by the referee, most of the time.

His handsome, arrogant and muscular figure was often become the reason why other players were envy of him. Maybe some of his antics behaviours were a bit annoying, but that doesn’t make other free to violate him, and wished to get free from it.

But Cristiano Ronaldo didn’t show his best quality.

Still, he was involved in two of Real Madrid’s three goals. Firstly, it was his free-kick which led to Van der Vaart’s controversial equalizer. Then Xabi Alonso also profited from the Portuguese’s good play for another goal.

As for Cristiano Ronaldo himself, he kept tripping a few times on his feet, and missed many chances to score a goal. It seemed that he pushed himself too much in trying to score.

The whole team was a bit tense in the first half. They did not work, react, and think well during the first period; perhaps, this also affected Cristiano Ronaldo’s performance.

It felt like he was more effective playing as a midfielder than as a striker against Sporting Gijon.

Real Madrid should not expect him to score in every match, but rather see where he fits best on the field at the moment.

Being only three points ahead of Barcelona, Real Madrid’s position could be in danger as the Catalans will be playing minnows Real Zaragoza later on.

Will they keep the top spot in La Liga table after Barcelona match tonight?

Well, hopefully they will.

Now as Los Blancos pursue their domestic campaign with a home game against Sporting Gijon on Saturday, Cristiano Ronaldo is poised to live up to expectations one more time.

In any case, Saturdayâ€s result away to Sporting Gijon in the Spanish Primera Liga could not give a positive response to all these questions.

Real Madrid entered last weekendâ€s league game with the home defeat against AC Milan in the Champions League still ringing in the back of their minds.

Virtually and analytically, it was clear that Real Madridâ€s weakness came from defensive mistakes. Indeed, conceding seven goals in only three matches is definitely a poor record – especially for a side as illustrious as Real Madrid.

On Saturday, the Spanish Giants succeeded in keeping their lines free from any goal. Unfortunately for Real Madrid, things didnâ€t go so well for them at the other end of the field.

It is true that Real Madrid were also missing the services of strikers Karim Benzema and Gonzalo Higuain, but was these absentees the cause behind the teamâ€s failure to score and win?

Finally on Sunday, it was the Catalans who had the final word after thrashing Real Zaragoza 6-1 at the Camp Nou to create a three-point lead at the top of the Spanish Primera Liga standings.

It is so early in the season, yet Real Madrid already seem to shake. It looks like Kaka, Xabi Alonso, or Alvaro Arbeloa have not found their correct rhythm. Besides that, there is also the case of injuries going on in the squad.

Real Madrid certainly need more time to become the strong side that so many fans around the world would love to watch playing.

The questions are: how long will it take for Los Blancos to transform their financial value into an indestructible footballing force? Who is holding their success? Cristiano Ronaldo or destiny?
