“I would like to reaffirm, without being concerned about contracts, that my focus is solely on winning every game and every available trophy with the essential company of my teammates and all Madridistas.”

His teammates have come out to support him, mindful that they need to present a united front against a press eager to find any signs of weakness.

Iker Casillas:

Sevilla have a win and two draws to start the season, but Madrid will be hoping that they can deliver them their first defeat and keep the difference with Barcelona down to 5 points before the first Clasico this season on October 7th.

Despite their irregular start to the season Madrid are still considered the bookmakers’ favourites for the Sevilla game, just as they are odds-on favourites for every La Liga game that doesn’t involve Barcelona.

Cristiano Ronaldo failed to give his best at Real Madrid’s opening league match against Valencia. However, on an interview after the match Cristiano Ronaldo stated that the White performance was fine and ok.

“We played well and created opportunities. We played well in the first half, and better in the second, but it was not to be. We had chances to score one or two more goals and get the win. This is the firstmatch and it’s not the best result, but we must continue”.

The”number seven” player also mentioned Pepe’s injury during the clash with Iker Casillas on the game. That time, the two players had a collision while Iker tried to clear a shot. Pepe is now at the hospital, and stayed overnight for observation.

“It’s a shame about Pepe and we hope it’s not serious and he recovers soon”.

And now, rather then cried over the 1-1 draw, Cristiano Ronaldo put more focus on the next Supercopa match against Barcelona, that will be held next Thursday. No doubt, the match will put their rivalry into a new level.

“Now we are only thinking about the match against Barcelona. We have a Supercopa match that we have to win. We will give out all to win the game there and then  win the title”.

Former Real Madrid player, David Beckham visited Beverly Hills Hotel to meet and greet all Real Madrid team . David, who played played for Madrid in 2003 – 2007 was seen having a serious conversation with president Florentino Perez, other members of the board of director, and also coach Mourinho. He also took sometime to have a chat with some of the players, including Cristiano Ronaldo and Iker Casillas.

Tonight, David Beckham will join his club LA Galaxy for a friendly match against Real Madrid. It will be their fourth match in  history, where all three previous matches ended up with Real Madrid’s victory.

I don’t think our defeat against Spain in the World Cup is a thorn on our side. In football you win and lose. It will just be another game we will all enjoy because we will face Spain, who are currently the best team in the world.”

“A match against Barcelona is always different. Six points may be at stake for us, as happens in every difficult game.”

These were strong words from Real Madridâ€s goalkeeper, Iker Casillas. Speaking to the media, the veteran goalkeeper sang praises for Ronaldo who scored two free-kicks against FC Zurich in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Iker Casillas had slammed the introduction of the new ball, saying that it was unpredictable. But on Thursday, the stopper seemed to change the tone of his attack. He said:

“For goalkeepers it’s difficult, not that’s that bad, quite the contrary. The balls are changing but that is not an excuse, or a complaint,” he added.

“From the outside looking in, it looks like the ‘keeper is making a monumental error but when you are on the spot, twenty yards away it is very hard to stop it.

“Fortunately for us we have Cristiano Ronaldo in our side.”

Cristiano Ronaldo finally made comments over his Real Madrid transfer; the 24-year-old show boy didnâ€t hide his happiness at this big-money move.

Ronaldoâ€s departure from Manchester United has spread irritation and disappointment among many Red Devils fans.

However, the Portuguese winger – who won several club and individual honors with Manchester United – thinks it is time for him to quit England.

“I have had my time at Man United. It’s time to look forward and £80m is quite a sum of money. This deal is historic.”

Ronaldo, who is still in the US for holidays, added:

“It’s flattering when two of the top teams in the world want you to play for them.

“Now I can look forward to Real Madrid and a new stage in my career. I learned of the deal here in LA and heard from my people that United had accepted.”

Manchester Unitedâ€s Luis Nani also expressed his happiness for the Portugal captain.

“It’s a fantastic fee. It puts a new value on Ronaldo. We are talking about an excellent player, so I think it (the fee) is fair.”

“He deserves everything that has happened to him considering what he has accomplished in recent years.

“Real Madrid is a great club and I wish him luck.”

For Spainâ€s number one goalkeeper Iker Casillas, the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo in Real Madrid is a celebration. Speaking to the Daily Star, Casillas declared:

“Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player [in the world], without doubt. I believe that if Real Madrid do the deal then he will help return the club to number one in the world,”

“Ronaldo will be welcomed by the dressing room.”

Meanwhile, Real Madridâ€s former president Ramon Calderon reckons that this transfer success is mainly due to his efforts last year.

“It was easy. We agreed everything and he decided to come,” Calderon stated regarding the secret agreement that was in place between Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid.

“Let’s say it was a gentleman’s agreement.

“Let’s say that everyone involved in the operation agreed to do it this season. That is what I can say. It has happened now; it was a bit early last season.”
