Transfer of the Century or Victory for Manchester?

Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has urged Manchester United to open formal negotiations with the Spanish outfit, to resolve the future of Cristiano Ronaldo.

In what seems like a desperate attempt to change Manchester’s stance, the Real supremo has gone on record to say that Manchester should be “happy” to be involved in such a magnitude of an event or the “transfer of the century” as he calls it.

But on the face of it Manchester are firm in their stance that Real will not have their wish come true. It has to be admired, the way they have remained resolute despite Real willing to push the boat out and pay whatever it takes to bring Ronaldo to Spain.

With Ronaldo not making any formal demands from Manchester, it seems he may stay in England.
