Cristiano Ronaldo’s idol, Thierry Henry has once again spoken out his admiration for his Barcelona club mate Lionel Messi.
Speaking to the media, the French man argued over who really deserves the Ballon d’Or, which will be handed in three weeks time. Henry described Messi as a footballer that plays like ‘someone from another world’ and added that the young Argentine was incomparable to Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo.
The former Arsenal captain said he watched last weekend’s big clash involving the Reds and the Gunners, which made him maintain his decision on who is better between Messi and Ronaldo. According to his words, the Portuguese Star – currently the European Player of the Year – did not impress him, and he sees no reason why Leo should not be crowned as the world’s best.
The Argentine kid indeed won the Olympic gold medal in Beijing but he is yet to win a major trophy with Barcelona.
Though Ronaldo proudly judges himself as the best player in the world, it looks like Messi is in a strong position to create an upset on the night of the award in Paris.
