Raul Albiol has spoken in defense of Real Madridâ€s entire team against the publicâ€s thoughts that Cristiano Ronaldo is indispensable for the Spanish giants.

The former Valencia defender first recognized the star wingerâ€s potential by telling AS:

“Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the best in the world, but we are a team.”

Raul Albiol then pursued his explanation:

“We possess many players. Despite being hit by injuries and suspensions, weâ€ve proven that we will maintain our quality no matter who we affront.

“The team [Real Madrid] has the capacity of winning with or without Cristiano Ronaldo.”

The Spanish giants indeed defied all the odds by breaking their 19-season-curse at the Riazor stadium against Deportivo La Coruna last weekend; and they played without the presence of the suspended Ronaldo.

Cristiano Ronaldo will again be missing from Real Madridâ€s squad this weekend. The Portuguese winger is completing his two match-ban sentence for breaking the nose of Malagaâ€s Mtiliga two weeks ago.

“Everyone is curious to know [about Ronaldo].”

The Spanish international, who is one player among the bunch of stars that Florentino Perez signed this summer, then gave his own description of Real Madridâ€s 94 million euro signing. The defender simply declared:

“He [Cristiano Ronaldo] is a phenomenal player and it is a pleasure to know him because he is a normal guy, humble and a worker.”

Contradictorily to what anti-Ronaldo fans predicted, Cristiano Ronaldo looks welcomed in the Spanish club. Under new coach Manuel Pellegrini, the atmosphere within the players of Real Madrid seems to be more harmonious than it was last season, despite the hierarchy that exists in the squad in terms of wages.
