What happened during the game?

The K-League team played positive football and opened the scoring during the seventh minute following a long-range effort from Osmar. Juve levelled just two minutes later though through Simone Muratore. Team K League again went on to take the lead through a neat finish from Brazilian Cesinha who after scoring performed the famous Ronaldo celebration. After Adam Taggart made the score 3-1 for the K-League Side, Juve scored two quick goals.

Juve fielded a strong side which featured the likes of Matthijs de Ligt, Miralem Pjanic and Gonzalo Higuain but they were unable to play clinical football. Understandably, they were probably not giving their all intentionally in a bid to avoid serious injuries ahead of the upcoming Serie A campaign.

Juventus are next in action when they play against Atletico Madrid in Stockholm on 10 August. They will now have a long break ahead of that game and it is very unlikely that Ronaldo will not play a part in the tune-up game against Diego Simeone’s side.

The post Ronaldo Subjected to Criticism in Korea first appeared on Cristiano Ronaldo Fan | News, Photos, Blog, Pics, Videos.

The comparisons between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi will always result in intense debates that are almost impossible to resolve. There are strong cases to be made for both players as to who is better. However, the following are some of Ronaldo’s achievements that Messi may never quite manage to emulate. 1. Winning a major international trophy Ronaldo has been the face of Portuguese football since his early 20s and Messi has also been the face of Argentinian football since his early 20s. Both Portugal and Argentina have been under-achievers in international football in recent decades and both countries have been considered one-man nations, which rely too heavily on Ronaldo and Messi, respectively. Ronaldo ended his international trophy drought when he won the Euro 2016 Championships, with Portugal 20/1 with bookmakers to retain their title in 2020. As this review of matchbook shows, better odds may be available when betting directly against other players. Messi, meanwhile, has yet to win a major international trophy and at 31 years old, it remains to be seen if he will ever do so. Ronaldo’s international stats also make for better reading.

The comparisons between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi will always result in intense debates that are almost impossible to resolve. There are strong cases to be made for both players as to who is better. However, the following are some of Ronaldo’s achievements that Messi may never quite manage to emulate.

1. Winning a major international trophy

Ronaldo has been the face of Portuguese football since his early 20s and Messi has also been the face of Argentinian football since his early 20s.

CR7 has managed 85 goals for his country from 156 appearances, while Messi has scored 65 goals for his country from 129 appearances.

2. Score more than 50 goals during six consecutive seasons

From the 2010-11 campaign until the 2015-16 season, Ronaldo scored more than 50 goals in six consecutive seasons. Messi, meanwhile, scored more than 50 goals in four out of those six seasons. Considering his advancing age, Messi may never score more than 50 goals over six consecutive seasons as Ronaldo did.

Embed from Getty Images

3. Goals to game ratio in La Liga

Both Ronaldo and Messi are prolific scorers and are likely to find the back of the net every weekend. During his time in the La Liga, Ronaldo scored 311 league goals for Madrid from 292 games. He, therefore, scores an average of more than a goal a game.

Messi has so far scored 414 goals from 445 La Liga games and therefore averages slightly less than a goal per game. Messi may never be able to better Ronaldo’s goal to game record at this stage of his career.

4. Success in different leagues

One of the big criticisms of Messi is that he did not taste success outside of the La Liga or outside of Barcelona. Some critics argue that he would have not have fared as well had he been playing in England.

Messi never played nor won titles outside the La Liga. Ronaldo, by contrast, won three Premier League titles with Manchester United and also helped the Red Devils to win one Champions League title. In addition to his successes at the Santiago Bernabeu, he also helped Juventus to win the Supercoppa Italia this season. The Old Lady of Italian football also convincingly won the Serie A convincingly this season.

The post Things Ronaldo Has Done That Messi May Never Achieve first appeared on Cristiano Ronaldo Fan | News, Photos, Blog, Pics, Videos.

Lionel Messi has admitted that he misses facing off against fellow luminary Cristiano Ronaldo in Spain. The duo is widely considered to be the best two footballers of the modern generation. The pair dominated the Ballon d’Or for more than ten years between 2008-2018, before Croatia’s Luka Modric finally won the award this year. Messi, who, like Ronaldo, is a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, has once again been in stellar form for Barcelona in La Liga this season, with the Blaugrana looking set to convincingly win the title. Ronaldo’s former club Real Madrid, meanwhile, look to be a shadow of their former selves, having struggled following his departure to Juventus last summer. Messi and Ronaldo won’t be competing against each other domestically this term, but nor will they face off in the Champions League, either. The Blaugrana, having come through the quarter-finals comfortably after defeating Manchester United over two legs, are now 6/4 favourites to win the tournament outright, according to bookmakers in the UK. Juventus, however, were eliminated at the hands of relative minnows Ajax Amsterdam. The humiliating defeat ironically came after the Dutch club had knocked out Ronaldo’s former side Madrid in the previous round. Embed from Getty Images....

Embed from Getty Images

Ronaldo was a key part of the Madrid setup over a decade of glory and played a key role in helping the side to win the past three consecutive Champions League titles. In terms of the La Liga, however, it was Messi who got the better of his rival on most occasions. During his stay with Madrid, Ronaldo won two La Liga titles. The 31-year-old Messi, meanwhile, has nine La Liga titles to his name.

Messi told Radio C5N that it was “lovely” playing against his rival in Spain, although he admitted being “annoyed” at having to see Ronaldo pick up so many awards, often at his expense.

The question of who is better between Ronaldo and Messi will always be a topic that is fiercely debated. Messi may enjoy more success as far as the La Liga goes. However, Ronaldo did manage to win Euro 2016 and boasts an international major trophy to his name, something Messi does not.

The post Messi Admits He Misses Playing Against Ronaldo in Spain first appeared on Cristiano Ronaldo Fan | News, Photos, Blog, Pics, Videos.

Madrid are a shadow of the side that they were last season. They suffered a humiliating exit from the Champions League during the last 16 by Ajax Amsterdam and are not much of a threat to Barcelona in the La Liga.

Hazard would be a good addition to Zinedine Zidane’s side which desperately needs to undergo a squad overhaul this summer. In spite of achieving success in his own right, Hazard has never quite managed to reach the same heights as Messi and Ronaldo. He has managed to win two Premier League titles, one FA Cup, one League Cup and one Europa League but has never won the Champions League which is considered to be the premier club competition in Europe.

Ronaldo by contrast won the last three successive Champions League editions with Madrid and is attempting to do so for a fourth consecutive season with Juventus this term. Ronaldo is a one-man machine at Juventus in a similar way to how Hazard is heavily relied upon at Chelsea.

Hazard revealed to HLN as translated by Mirror Sport that he hopes to emulate the successes which Ronaldo has enjoyed during his career. When asked if he could be Ronaldo for a day, Hazard replied saying: “Oh yes, it would be fantastic to reach his level of excellence. I think that would be so brilliant.
”

The post Premier League Ace Says He Wants to Follow in Ronaldo’s Footsteps first appeared on Cristiano Ronaldo Fan | News, Photos, Blog, Pics, Videos.

Many football fans were left shocked after Cristiano Ronaldo left Real Madrid during the summer of 2018 and joined Juventus. Ronaldo had become arguably the best player in the Madrid squad over the years and left the club as its record goalscorer. By joining Juve, Ronaldo ended a successful nine-year spell with Madrid. During that time, he made 438 appearances in all competitions for Los Blancos and scored 450 goals.

His last game for Los Blancos came during the club’s 3-1 victory over Liverpool during the Champions league final.

Less afterwards. The president looked at me through eyes that didn’t want to say the same thing, as if I was no longer indispensable to them, if you know what I mean.”

Embed from Getty Images

It is now perhaps clear that the reason as to why Ronaldo left Madrid was because he was feeling undervalued at the club that he helped win two La Liga titles, four Champions League titles and two Copa del Reys.

Ronaldo is now approaching the latter years of his career but he still appears to be as hungry as ever to carry on winning trophies. Despite his advancing years, CR7 has so far scored 24 goals from 36 games in all competitions for the Old Lady of Italian football. That is a record which even many footballers at the prime of their career would be proud of.

Will Ronaldo finally help Juve to break their duck and win the Champions League? Only time will tell. It will not be surprising to see the football maestro carry on playing the beautiful game until he is in his 40s. He still appears to be as hungry as ever to carry on playing the game at the highest level.

The post Why Exactly Did Ronaldo Leave Madrid? first appeared on Cristiano Ronaldo Fan | News, Photos, Blog, Pics, Videos.

The reason why Messi did not name himself and Ronaldo in the list is because he considers them to be a cut above the rest. Messi has been brilliant once again this season and has so far scored 39 goals and assisted a further 21 in just 37 games.

Ronaldo meanwhile has continued to excel despite having moved to the Serie A which is one of the toughest leagues in the world in to score on a regular basis. The 34-year-old has so far scored 24 goals from 36 games in all competitions for his club. Despite his age advancing, Ronaldo appears to be as hungry as a 23-year-old in terms of wanting success.

The Old Lady of Italian football look set to win yet another Serie A title as they have a massive 15 points advantage over second place Napoli. Real Madrid have struggled since the departure of Ronaldo last summer. Los Blancos suffered a humiliating Champions League exit at the hands of Ajax Amsterdam.

Meanwhile, Juve are set to play against Ajax in the quarter-finals of Europe’s premier club competition. Max Allegri’s side will be the firm favourites to reach the semi-finals of the competition.

The post Messi Names Top Five Players, Excludes Himself And Ronaldo first appeared on Cristiano Ronaldo Fan | News, Photos, Blog, Pics, Videos.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes has made a surprising revelation about the player’s transfer from Real Madrid to Juventus last summer. In a surprised move to many, Ronaldo moved from Madrid to the reigning Italian Serie A champions last summer in a deal worth €117 million. Ronaldo had won four Champions League titles during his time with Los Blancos, which included the last three successive editions of the tournament. During his nine years at the Santiago Bernaubeu, he also won two La Liga titles, two Copa del Rey titles as well as three Fifa Club World Cups. The transfer marked the first time that the reigning Ballon d’Or winner had switched clubs since Jean-Pierre Papin left Marseille to link up with AC Milan in 1992. After spending nearly a decade at Madrid, many people would have expected Ronaldo to remain with the club until the end of his career.
Ronaldo’s agent Mendes has now revealed that the transfer was discussed as early as January.

He eventually switched to Juventus and will be hoping to finally help the Old Lady of Italian football win the Champions League. Juve have played in the final of Europe’s Premier club competition twice in recent years and come away runners-up twice, although they can be backed with Betway’s generous welcome offer at odds of 13/2 for success this term.

“[Ronaldo] is the best player in the history of the game, so a lot of teams wanted him,” Mendes said via Tuttosport, according to Goal. “Even so, Juve deserve a lot of credit for making this deal happen. At that moment in time, I did not think that a deal would be possible, but I guess that I was wrong.

“I met up with [Sporting Director Fabio] Paratici and [vice-chairman Pavel] Nedved before the Juve-Real game in Turin [in April] and I then met up with [Juve President Andrea] Agnelli, too. That’s when I started to believe that a deal was possible.”

Since moving to Juventus, Ronaldo has been a success. He has so bagged 11 goals and recorded six assists from 16 league games for the Italian club to date.

The post Ronaldo’s Agent Jorge Mendes Makes Surprising Revelation about Juventus Transfer first appeared on Cristiano Ronaldo Fan | News, Photos, Blog, Pics, Videos.

The Old Lady have won Serie A for the last seven seasons on the trot, but the Champions League has eluded them for some time now. Could the addition of Ronaldo be the spark that Juve need to top the pile in the ultimate competition, and be crowned kings of Europe?

It came as a shock to many when Ronaldo announced that he would be leaving Real Madrid to join Juventus last summer. The Portuguese ace was a mainstay with the Spanish giants and appeared to be set to play out the rest of his career at the Santiago Bernabeu. However, after nearly ten years and 311 league goals with the club, the player decided it was time for a change and moved to Serie A for €100 million. It now appears that Ronaldo was right to move away from Madrid, as the club has entered a rocky patch surrounded by uncertainty.

Despite being 33 years old and in the latter stages of his career, Ronaldo represented a serious coup even for a club of Juve’s stature. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner guarantees goals wherever he goes, and has claimed the European Golden Shoe on five occasions. He generally thrives in the Champions League, and has scored 43 goals in the competition over the last three seasons. Not even Ronaldo’s long-term rival Lionel Messi can match this output, and the Argentine has been some way off the Portuguese in this regard.

Few would bet against Juventus winning the Italian top flight this term, and they can be found at 1/5 in the Serie A betting to go all the way. But it’s Ronaldo’s Champions League experience which will be most vital to the Italian giants. The former Manchester United man has won the competition five times with two different clubs. After having claimed the trophy for the last three consecutive seasons, the Euro 2016 winner has constantly proven his unstoppable desire to add more silverware to his brimming cabinet.

Juventus already had a pretty incredible squad of players even before they managed to persuade Ronaldo to make the switch. Paulo Dybala has emerged as one of the hottest prospects in Europe over the last few years, and the youngster is set to improve further under Ronaldo’s guidance. The Turin side also have one of the most resolute defences in the division with Georgio Chiellini and Medhi Benatia forming a formidable partnership at the back.

It remains to be seen whether Juventus can finally add to their two Champions League trophies this term. But with Ronaldo’s star power added to an already incredible team, it would be unwise to bet against Massimiliano Allegri’s charges sending a message to the rest of Europe.

The post Are Juventus Now the Best Team in Europe? first appeared on Cristiano Ronaldo Fan | News, Photos, Blog, Pics, Videos.

For football fans around the globe, Ronaldo’s £105m transfer to Juventus won’t have quite sunk in yet. There had been rumblings around the Bernabéu throughout the whole of last season about a possible move away from Real Madrid but many would have believed that was just Ronaldo’s agents’ way of increasing his wages.

It turns out it wasn’t a bluff or, if it was, Florentino Pérez wasn’t falling for it after Madrid reached a deal with Juventus for the transfer of Ronaldo. Now that Ronaldo finds himself in Turin for the next four years, one could ask: how will he cope in Serie A? The question should actually be: how will Serie A cope with Ronaldo?

https://twitter.com/ChampionsLeague/status/1024265893025591296

It’s worth noting from the start that no one would have predicted that the Portuguese superstar would end up playing in Serie A if he did eventually leave Real Madrid. The MLS is always an option for older players that aren’t playing to their ability of yesteryear but Ronaldo quite evidently is. The 33-year-old’s hat-trick against Spain at the World Cup showed that he is still the best player in the world and capable of scoring in any game, whether it be domestic or international.

The Premier League looked the likely destination and a return to Old Trafford where he spent so many wonderful years under the guidance of Sir Alex Ferguson. In the end, money undoubtedly played the biggest part in Ronaldo’s decision to take a step down and play in Italy’s top flight. Ronaldo will pick up €120m over his four years at Juventus with an annual salary of €30m.

There hasn’t been a 33-year-old footballer in the world ever commanding that type of money but Ronaldo is not your average 33-year-old. During his medical at Juventus, it was revealed by the club doctor that Ronaldo effectively has the physical attributes of a 20-year-old after the stats showed him having less fat but more muscle than the average professional.

All that means is there is a mountain of problems coming the way of defenders in the Serie A with Ronaldo guaranteed to run riot. If he couldn’t be stopped in La Liga, then there is very little chance he will find it tough going in Serie A.

Juventus are the nation’s top team and, after last season’s league triumph, they have now won seven titles in a row. It’s no surprise to see them the favourites to make it eight at 2/5 in Serie A betting, especially with the added bonus of Ronaldo’s goals. When Ronaldo came up against Juventus with Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-final last year, he scored four goals against them over two legs, which is quite telling when wondering how well he will get on in Serie A. If CR7 can dismantle Italy’s finest, what will he do to the rest on a weekly basis?

Ronaldo is the ultimate professional and one of the greatest to have ever played the beautiful game. Italian football has no idea what is coming its way but all will be revealed on the 18th of August, away to Chievo.

The post How Will Ronaldo Fare in Serie A? first appeared on Cristiano Ronaldo Fan | News, Photos, Blog, Pics, Videos.

The reigning Serie A champions take on the Bundesliga titlists at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on the early hours of Thursday, the first of four stateside pre-season friendlies for Juventus. However, due to Ronaldo featuring for his country in the World Cup, he, along with his fellow internationals, have been granted an extended summer break, with the 33-year-old not due to report for preseason training until next week. Consequently, the Evening Standard reports, CR7 may make his Bianconeri bow when Juventus take on their own B side at Villar Perosa on August 12. It was a date the former Real Madrid star had previously earmarked as when his ‘season starts’. Juve are the slim 43/20 underdogs with Novibet Sports for their Bayern clash, while some oddsmakers have them 8/13 odds-on favourites to once again top Serie A in 2018/19; highlighting the potential impact of Ronaldo’s involvement in the side. It was a date the former Real Madrid star had previously earmarked as when his ‘season starts’.

The Old Lady formally kick off their title defence on August 19, with the Serie A fixture list still to be finalised. The hope is that Ronaldo, despite being in the twilight years of his storied career, will justify his £99.2 million price tag and lead Juventus to glory both domestically and in Europe. With his club medical showing his fitness to be comparable to that of a 20-year-old, it’d take a brave man to bet against Cristiano doing just that.

The post Ronaldo’s Juventus Debut Revealed first appeared on Cristiano Ronaldo Fan | News, Photos, Blog, Pics, Videos.
