Ronaldo’s Portugal humbled by the Brazilians

The friendly was expected to be a clash between many of the world’s best players. Queiros thought Cristiano Ronaldo and Deco will match the likes of Kaka and Robinho, but Dunga proved him wrong.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s ‘father’ is enduring a shaky start since taking charge of the managerial job, and things could not get any better for him last night. Brazil trounced Portugal 6-2 to their worst defeat in more than four years.

Cristiano Ronaldo did not play at his highest level and was completely blown away by his Premiership club rival Robinho. The Man City playmaker was not on the scoring sheet but his presence was very influential as he powered team-mate Luis Fabiano to an incredible hat-trick.

Danny’s opener for Portugal did not mean anything for his side and in a blink of an eye the Brazilians took control of the game. Cristiano Ronaldo’s best chance for an attack came from a free-kick, as he tried to test Brazil’s keeper; but he blew the ball awfully wide.

The so-called ‘arrogant’ hot favourite for the Ballon d’Or and the Fifa Player of the Year award has been humbled by Elano’s Brazil.
The Manchester City midfielder subsequently rated his countryman Kaka on top Ronaldo.

The Portuguese Superstar may revenge himself from his international woes when the Premier League resumes this weekend.
Ronaldo will meet his mocker Elano in ten days time when Manchester United clash against their local rivals Manchester City.
