Portugal failed to bring home a perfect point in Euro playoff round against host Bosnia last night. Both team had to satisfy with a goaless result, which mean they still have the same chance to to make it to the kick off round in the second leg .

Playing in front their supporters that filled Bilino Polje stadium, Bosnia seemed to be under Portugal’s pressure early on the match. Bosnia had to play minus their 3 main defenders such as Mensur Mujdza, Sasa Papac, and Boris Pandza due to injury and cards accumulation.

As for Portugal, they suceeded in controlling the game with a number of opportunities in the first round. However, Bosnia who played a great defense manage to hold the attacks. The game ended with no goals from both sides.

Portugal coach got disappointed with the result. According to him, his team deserved a victory than a just a draw, since the opposite only managed to give one time threat, and the rest was on Portugal’s lead.

“We have our moment, where we have several opportunities to score goals. Meanwhile, Bosnia’s only able to create a single chance throughout the game. This is a very unfair outcome, given what we do. I am proud and happy with team spirit, and I owed to the players, ” said Bento to RTP.

With this result, the winner of this party will be determined on the second leg with Portugal as the host on November 15th.
