Real Madrid Pursue Red Card Appeal, Cristiano Ronaldo Could Be Back!
Real Madrid are pursuing their appeal to have Cristiano Ronaldo back from suspension and thus available for this weekend’s crucial fixture away to Deportivo La Coruna.
Los Blancos have received a boost in their petition as AS released a relevant video that could help Real Madrid win the case.
AS’ video sees Lionel Messi reacting in a similar way in Barcelona’s 4-0 victory against Sevilla in La Liga.
Actually, defender Valiente attempts to grab Messi’s arm, waist, and shirt but the Argentine forward resists and pushes him off with his right arm’s elbow.
He hits Valiente’s chest but as his arms are not long enough, his elbow only points towards the defenders’ face.
However, Cristiano Ronaldo is taller than Lionel Messi whereas Mtiliga is quite a small man (1.71cm).
Therefore, it is obvious that the Portuguese’s elbow will rather hit Mtiliga right in the face and eventually create much more risks.
Lionel Messi went unpunished and Sevilla’s Valiente got booked for his defending.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo received a red card which spoiled his wonderful night.
Apparently, Real Madrid are trying to justify that Cristiano Ronaldo’s gesture wasn’t wrong but that Malaga’s defender was just unfortunate to be hit so badly.
Now CR9 could be playing for Los Blancos if Real Madrid win their appeal.
