Happy Ronaldo Reflects On Real Madrid’s Form, Says He ‘Feels Better And Better’.
In their last game of the year, Real Madrid strolled on to a wonderful 6-0 home victory against Real Zaragoza.
It left all of their players with a smile on their face and Cristiano Ronaldo – who grabbed a goal in that particular game – was happy to share his joy with the media and the fans.
CR9 told Marca:
“We scored six goals and that was very important for our confidence.
“We’re happy. Now we want to begin the following year as we finished this one.â€
He continued, reflecting on Real Madrid’s good performance despite the loss of some players:
“We miss the presence of the players who are injured because they have so much quality. But those who played [against Real Zaragoza] did very well.
“They’ve proven to the coach that there are various options.â€
Cristiano Ronaldo, who came back from injury last month, then turned the focus on his fitness. He said:
“I feel better and better. I’m scoring important goals and I want to continue doing so.â€
The FIFA Player of the Year award takes place tonight with Lionel Messi expected to win the award. However, consistency from Cristiano Ronaldo’s part might land him the award for the second time in his career next year.
