Ex-Manchester United Player Cristiano Ronaldo Is A Good Man – Nani Says

Well, the Manchester United player, who is struggling to make his mark at Old Trafford, has spoken about Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo as ‘a good man’.

Lately, CR9 has come under criticism once again from the public and the media following the red card incident last month which saw Malaga’s Mtiliga break his nose.

But for Luis Nani, Cristiano Ronaldo’s image is different. Speaking to Manchester Evening News, the number 17 winger declared:

“Cristiano is a good man and he’s been very pleased for me.”

Last summer, when Cristiano Ronaldo left for Real Madrid in Spain, Luis Nani was poised by football followers to raise from the Portugal captain’s shadow and emerge as Manchester United’s playmaker.

But just as it has been since his arrival in England, Nani is finding it hard this year to find favor in Sir Alex Ferguson’s eyes.

Despite having scored important goals of world class quality for Manchester United over the years, Luis Nani is yet to become a regular.

Late last year, the Portuguese of Cape Verde origins publicly slammed Ferguson as the man screwing his career.

These claims almost put him on his way out of Manchester United during the winter break but somehow, Nani got back into the Red Devils’ squad.

Recently, he played a good role against Arsenal and Portsmouth and he has now avowed how supportive Cristiano Ronaldo was being to him:

“We [Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani] speak a lot on phone, and we text each other.

“He was a great help for me when he was at United. Now he is happy that things are going well for me at the moment.”

Cristiano Ronaldo will be back from suspension and on the pitch to help Real Madrid against Xerez this weekend in La Liga.

Ironically, Luis Nani will have zero chances of featuring for Manchester United in the English Premiership after sustaining a red card against Aston Villa on Wednesday night.
