Cristiano Ronaldo Predicts Real Madrid 2010 Success – Champions League, La Liga

The world’s most expensive player is Los Blancos’ talisman, having experienced no defeat so far with Real Madrid while being on the pitch during 90 minutes of football.

Cristiano Ronaldo told Marca about his Real Madrid predictions:

“Real Madrid is going to be the best team in 2010. We need drive and motivation in order to win everything that comes our way.”

Real Madrid are presently second in the table and could go on top of La Liga this weekend if they beat Osasuna away on Sunday and if Barcelona fail to beat Villarreal on Saturday.

Stealing La Liga’s trophy away from current champions Barcelona is a huge possibility. However, the 2008 FIFA World Player of the Year reiterated his desire to win the Champions League trophy at all cost above all.

He declared:

“[Real Madrid] fans and players all dream about winning the Champions League. This year’s final being at the Santiago Bernabeu, we have a great opportunity before us.

“[With Manchester United] winning the Champions League was the greatest experience in my career. We [Real Madrid] do not want to let the opportunity of winning it slip through our hands.”

As Cristiano Ronaldo made it clear that Los Blancos will try and win everything that comes their way this year, the Portuguese star underlined the club’s desire to win La Liga as well.

Warning everyone about the bad effect that Champions League obsession may have on the entire Real Madrid club, Cristiano Ronaldo stated:
