CR9 might still be looking to achieve full fitness, but he is already mesmerizing Real Madrid fans with goals and great touches.
On Tuesday night, the fleet-footed winger opened the scoring against Marseille on the fifth minute with a powerful free-kick from 35 yards out. He also rounded up the result with a freak goal ten minutes from time.
When questioned about the outcome of his performance after the match, Cristiano Ronaldo underlined how happy he was to have got a brace.
However, he also affirmed that he wasn’t fully fit. He stated:
“I haven’t yet reached 100%. I can give more. Physically, I can improve on certain things… But I’m progressing.â€
“The medical staff and the physical therapy team have worked very well since these past weeks.â€
Cristiano Ronaldo will have the “opportunity†to relax his ankle this weekend as will serve his match ban by not featuring for Real Madrid against Valencia.
Ronaldo should however return for Los Blancos against Real Zaragoza on December 20th. Woe onto defenders!!
