Cristiano Ronaldo blasts Chelsea boss

Cristiano Ronaldo has taken a swipe at Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, according to the Daily Mail.

The Portuguese superstar won the La Liga title under Mourinho during the 2012-13 season, however the former Manchester United man was less than complimentary when asked about his fellow countryman recently.

‘There was a bad atmosphere and it was a difficult period in personal terms,” Ronaldo revealed.

‘There were situations with other players and also with the fans.’

Mourinho clashed with the Spanish press and Real Madrid icon Iker Casillas during his spell at the Bernabeu, and despite his reputation as one of the most respected managers in the game, Ronaldo says he wouldn’t call the current Chelsea boss a friend – interesting considering the common perception Mourinho is close to all of his players.

He was booed by Real Madrid supporters during his final season in charge at the Bernabeu, and left the Spanish giants under something of a cloud.

Ronaldo added: ‘Of all my managers, the only one I have a friendship with is Sir Alex Ferguson. But I’m not in football to have friends. I’m here to win.’
