The Spanish club could be set for more glory in Europe this season, according to the odds on WoomBet official.

Bayern Next Up for Spanish Giants

Fourteen-time European champions Real Madrid are the 7/5 favourites in the Champions League betting heading into the semi-finals. They last lifted the trophy in 2022 when they defeated Liverpool in the final at the Stade de France in Paris.

Ronaldo’s former club will face Bayern Munich in their last-four tie this season in what is a mouth-watering clash. They are the 8/15 favourites in the Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid odds to qualify for the next round.

https://twitter.com/footballontnt/status/1784225044475891753

Carlo Ancelotti’s side will need to try and stop England captain Harry Kane. The striker has scored over 42 goals in all competitions this season in his debut year in Germany. Bayern will be desperate to win their first European trophy since 2020 as they missed on the Bundesliga crown this year, with that silverware going the way of Bayer Leverkusen.

Victory Over Manchester City

https://twitter.com/ManCity/status/1780701450479517931

Real Madrid are in the semi-finals of the Champions League for a fourth straight season after they defeated Manchester City over two legs. They drew 3-3 with Pep Guardiola’s side at the Bernabeu, while the two sides played out a 1-1 draw at the Etihad Stadium. Ancelotti’s side then held their nerve for a penalty shootout success.

Eliminating Manchester City from the competition will give Real Madrid a lot of confidence that they can go all the way once again this season. They are one of the few teams in Europe that have had a lot of success against the English champions in recent years.

The winner of the Real and Bayern tie will face either Borussia Dortmund or PSG in the final. They defeated the latter in the last 16 en route to the trophy in 2022.

La Liga Success

As well as European success, Real Madrid are on course for the La Liga title in Spain. It could be their third triumph in the last five years. It has been a dominant season for Ancelotti’s side, as they have lost just one of their opening 33 league games in the 2023/24 campaign. That sole defeat came against local rivals Atletico Madrid on match day six.

In what could end up being a very successful season for Ronaldo’s former club, they also won the Supercopa de Espana back in January. They have a chance of landing their second treble in the last three years.

The 2024 UEFA Champions League final takes place on the 1st of June at Wembley Stadium in London. Ronaldo is likely to be tuning in to see if his former team can get their hands on the trophy.

The post Ronaldo’s Former Club in Champions League Mix first appeared on Cristiano Ronaldo Fan | News, Photos, Blog, Pics, Videos.

Neymar The Next Superstar To Arrive

Many of football’s top stars have already made the lucrative move to the Saudi Pro League this summer, but the latest arrival is the biggest of the bunch. Neymar, still considered to be one of the best players in the world, has left Paris Saint-Germain to join Al-Hilal. Unsurprisingly, his departure has affected the Champions League tips in that the prospects aren’t looking so hot for PSG.

The French champions are going through a rocky patch at the moment, as they look to build for the future without the Brazilian captain. Neymar scored 82 times in his time at the Ligue 1 dominators, something that Al-Hilal’s supporters will be dreaming of him repeating in this season’s exciting Pro League campaign.

Ronaldo’s Story So Far In Saudi Arabia

Ronaldo’s arrival at Al-Nassr was greeted with much fanfare and jubilation by the whole of Saudi Arabia at the time, and the Portugal legend has already proved that he has not simply moved to the Pro League to pick up a big payday.

Immediately installed as captain at the club, Ronaldo would register 14 goals in 16 games in his first season, and, although Al-Nassr could only finish second in the league, he would lead them to their first-ever Arab Club Champions Cup victory.

The former Man Utd, Real Madrid, and Juventus great will be eagerly anticipating this season at the club, as he will be joined in the team by further big-money signings, Sadio Mane, Marcelo Brozovic, Seko Fofana, and Alex Telles.

Other Big Names To Have Joined The Saudi Pro-League

The list of big-name signings making the move to Saudi Arabia continues to grow as the summer rolls on, but some moves have been met with more surprise than others.

Karim Benzema

The man that started the influx of top stars to the Saudi Pro League this summer is Ronaldo’s former Real Madrid teammate, Karim Benzema. The Frenchman joined Al-Ittihad in June, despite being offered a new contract at the Spanish giants. It was a testament to the pulling power of the riches of the Pro-League that the 2022 Ballon d’Or winner was willing to make the move.

https://twitter.com/MadridXtra/status/1690219056215871488

Riyad Mahrez

Fresh from winning a momentous treble with Man City, Riyad Mahrez made the shock decision to leave the Champions League winners to join up with Al-Ahli. Despite now being 32 years old, the five-time Premier League winner is still in top shape and is sure to be an instant hit with his new club.

With the likes of Jordan Henderson, Roberto Firmino, N’Golo Kante, and many more have left big clubs for the lure of big wages in Saudi Arabia, European football is going to take a hit. It’s an interesting time in world football with the arrival of the cash-rich Pro-League onto the scene, but whether it will prove to be a mere flash in the pan remains to be seen.

The post Neymar The Latest To Join Ronaldo In The Saudi Pro League first appeared on Cristiano Ronaldo Fan | News, Photos, Blog, Pics, Videos.

One and a half years have passed and European glory has not yet arrived, with Juventus a distant sixth at 11/1 to win the trophy this year when putting a Champions League bet on, behind the likes of Man City, Liverpool, Barcelona, PSG and Bayern Munich. He has, however, not exactly lived up to expectations. Fans of the Old Lady of Italian football would have expected him to help the club finally land the Champions League title, the one major trophy which has eluded them over the years.

One and a half years have passed and European glory has not yet arrived, with Juventus a distant sixth at 11/1 to win the trophy this year when putting a Champions League bet on, behind the likes of Man City, Liverpool, Barcelona, PSG and Bayern Munich. Juventus do not look as though they have become a better unit since the arrival of Ronaldo, in-fact they face their strongest test to retain the Serie A title this season from a rejuvenated Inter Milan. Juve’s 3-1 defeat against Lazio during the recent Supercoppa Italia final more or less proved beyond any reasonable doubt that they are no longer the dominant force in Italian football that they have been for the best part of the last decade.

By being on the losing side during the Supercoppa Italia defeat, Ronaldo ended a run of 14 consecutive finals without being on the losing side. The last time that he tasted defeat during a final was when Real Madrid fell short against Atletico Madrid during the 2013 Copa del Rey final.

Some fans of the Turin giants believe that Ronaldo is a hindrance, he is now 34 years old and his stats are clearly not what they used to be when he plied his trade for Real Madrid and Manchester United. The Bianconeri has endured a less than ideal start to the new season and this has led to questions surrounding the future of Ronaldo.

Ronaldo is now approaching his 35th birthday. He will be looking to win as many trophies as possible between now and the end of his career and possibly another Ballon d’Or or two along the way. He, however, does not have time on his side to be playing for a developmental project. He needs to be playing for a club which can challenge for all major honours, most notably the Champions League.

Juventus are looking rather one dimensional in terms of their football at the moment. Manager Maurizio Sarri does however still have the January transfer window to try and find a solution to his club’s woes. If he does manage to find a solution in January, things could work out well for both the club and Ronaldo.

As one of the most marketable names in the Sports industry, Ronaldo will have several offers to choose from, including from elite clubs if he decides to embark on a new challenge at the end of the season. It would be a fitting end to his career if he makes a return to Old Trafford to help Manchester United become a dominant force again. United were, after all, the club that made Ronaldo into the superstar that he is today.

However, United are not a world-class club at the moment and this could hamper his chances of landing major silverware if he were to join them.

The post Next Few Months Vital for Cristiano Ronaldo first appeared on Cristiano Ronaldo Fan | News, Photos, Blog, Pics, Videos.

Ever since Maurizio Sarri stepped foot into Turin, his goal has been set up for him. Put an end to the UEFA Champions League curse at Juventus. Indeed, the Old Lady has experienced a case of “so close yet so far” in Europe’s elite club competition, losing in the finale in 2015 and 2017 respectively.

Despite dominating the Serie A in winning the Italian title consecutively for the past eight seasons, Juventus have struggled to get past the final hurdle in the Champions League. Many felt the club-record fee move for Cristiano Ronaldo, which exponentially improved their popularity, would be the icing on top to take them to Europe’s pinnacle.

However, last season the Bianconeri were in for a rude awakening after losing to a young AFC Ajax side in the quarter-finals in a tie where they comfortably had the best betting odds of the knockout stages. They decided to let go off manager Massimiliano Allegri, with Sarri coming in to usher in a new era for the reigning Serie A champions. However, his start to the new job has been rather topsy-turvy so far.

Indeed, the Bianconeri were displaced off the top of Serie A after a drab draw at Fiorentina, allowing Inter Milan to go top for the first time since matchday 16 of the 2016/17 season! The Italian has urged his side to be more aggressive with their style, but his “Sarriball” still needs time to perfectly get tuned in at Juventus.

However, time is not on his side at the Serie A defending champions. There’s a need for immediate results in the huge expectations from Italy’s best side, with winning the Champions League being at number one. They still have the best betting odds for winning the league thanks to their history and sheer squad quality, but aren’t considered in the top 3-4 sides expected to win top European competition this season. Now, Juventus fans would probably swap a season of not winning the league title for winning the Champions League, but that won’t come easy.

Europe’s pinnacle is packed with world-class oppositions and Juventus’ surrendering a 2-0 lead at Atletico Madrid provided early worrying signs. Their captain Giorgio Chiellini is still out for a lengthy period, while their attack doesn’t look the most compelling either. While Aaron Ramsey’s brought that attacking bite with his clinical nature in the final third, Adrien Rabiot’s yet to properly implement himself into the side.

Sarri has done a remarkable job in improving the ageing stars like Gonzalo Higuain, Blaise Matuidi and Sami Khedira, but he must trust younger legs to handle the Champions League’s intensity going forward. Cristiano Ronaldo will probably be a man on a mission after watching Lionel Messi win another FIFA’s The Best award, as Sarri must revolve his attack around the Portuguese.

Regardless of his age, Ronaldo is still a game-changer with his decisive strikes and will only get better as the season progresses. If Juventus can get the best out of him, hold a strong defensive line with Matthijs De Ligt and Leonardo Bonnucci and bring more urgency to their game, winning the Champions League would be a stark reality this season.

The post Can Juventus Win the UEFA Champions League? first appeared on Cristiano Ronaldo Fan | News, Photos, Blog, Pics, Videos.

One of the surprise transfers that Juventus made this summer was to re-sign legendary goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon. The Italian returned to the Old Lady of Italian football after having spent one season in France with Paris-Saint Germain. It was initially thought that the former Italian first-choice goalkeeper would retire from professional football at the end of the 2017/18 season when his contract with Juve came to an end. However, he surprisingly agreed a one-season deal with PSG during the summer of 2018. This was presumably to have one final chance to win the Champions League. Buffon is one of the best goalkeepers of all-time and has won virtually everything that there is to win. The only two trophies which have eluded him are the European Championships on the international front and the Champions League on a club level. He did play in three Champions League finals with Juventus and lost them all. Buffon is expected to act as cover for Wojciech Szczesny this season. He will likely retire from professional football at the end of the season (this time for real) and take up a coaching role behind the scenes with Juventus. “He hasn’t said anything about it, but we’ve....

“He hasn’t said anything about it, but we’ve spoken because he’s someone I’ve admired and we’ve faced each other many times,” Ronaldo said, as quoted by Marca.

“He told me he was happy that we are together now, and I said the same because, in my opinion, he’s one of the best goalkeepers in the world, if not the best.

“Him and Iker Casillas are in football’s history books and I’m happy to be with him because he’s a five-star man.”

It will be interesting to see Ronaldo and Buffon as team-mates

It will certainly be interesting to see two of the modern-day greats playing alongside each other. The duo have never been team-mates prior to this though they did play against each other many times. Many people will remember Ronaldo’s stunning bicycle kick for Real Madrid against Juventus during the Champions League in early 2018.

Buffon will also now have one final chance to win the Champions League. While he is now second-choice keeper at Juve, Szczesny tends to be inconsistent at times and it will not be surprising to see Buffon called up for first-team duty at some point this season.

He has won the Champions League on five occasions with two different clubs, as well as domestic titles in England, Spain and Italy. No player can beat his record of winning five Ballon d’Or’s and his legacy of being one of the greatest players in the history of the sport.

Ronaldo holds the record for the most goals scored by a Real Madrid player as well as the most goals scored in a single season for Manchester United. He has won virtually everything that there is to win in the game, and his signing to Juventus in 2018 has seen the Italian giants start the two Champions League campaigns that he has been at the club, among the favourites to win the competition. You don’t want to miss out on the best football sites ahead of the new season where you can find all the best odds for the matches that Ronaldo will be competing in.

However, the Portuguese international isn’t getting any younger and at 34 years old, he will undoubtedly be contemplating on where he would want to end his career. Certainly wherever he ends up would have gained a player that can still compete at the highest level, but where could that be?

Manchester United

Ronaldo has always remained comprehensive with his love for Manchester United and in particular, Sir Alex Ferguson. The Scot remains Ronaldo’s father figure in the game and a return to Old Trafford for a final season would certainly be something that would interest the Old Trafford faithful. Ronaldo was an integral role of arguably the greatest Premier League side between 2007 and 2009, and these years were when Ronaldo’s star power was finally realised.

He scored 42 goals in the 2007-08 season which enabled him to win his first Ballon d’Or and win his first Champions League title. There wouldn’t be many clubs that could match the financial figures that United could offer their former number seven and a final season in the Premier League could interest Ronaldo.

Sporting Lisbon

Another heartfelt final season could see him plying his trade back in Portugal with Sporting Lisbon. The Portuguese club was where Ronaldo was spotted by many of the top clubs around Europe and could be a chance for the star to return the favour in the opportunity the club gave him by helping deliver a first Primeira Liga title since 2002.

It would certainly be an option that Ronaldo would be interested in, but the Juventus star would certainly have to take a major pay-cut in order for the move to go through. Whether or not that is something that the club are interested in doing remains to be seen, but it would certainly be a move that would send shockwaves across Europe and see Sporting become a serious player in European competition.

MLS

Ronaldo has always been a player with various other projects going on, and maybe the most logical place for Ronaldo to end his career could be in the USA, where he would have the chance to expand his audience to a North American audience. The star has always been keen on a move to the USA, and there would be a host of clubs interested in acquiring his services should he be interested in playing in the MLS.

LA Galaxy would be a notable destination for the winger, while David Beckham’s new franchise Inter Miami CF could be the perfect storm. Inter Miami aren’t entering the MLS until next season which could line up perfectly with Ronaldo’s plan, and a chance for Ronaldo to spearhead a new franchise may be too good to turn down.

The post Where Will Cristiano Ronaldo End His Career? first appeared on Cristiano Ronaldo Fan | News, Photos, Blog, Pics, Videos.

Forlan struggled at United

Forlan may have won the best player award after the 2010 World Cup and be a Uruguayan football legend but he largely struggled to establish himself during his time at United. During his time with the Red Devils, he went on to score just 10 goals from 63 appearances. He would go on to endure better success in Spain with Villareal and Atletico Madrid, the latter whom he helped to win the inaugural edition of the Europa League during the 2009/10 season. Forlan may be right in that Ronaldo puts a great deal of effort and thought towards his presentation as compared to the average footballer, though it may be debatable whether he can be considered to be an “egotist” because of that.

Cristiano Ronaldo has said that one of the reasons why he is better than Lionel Messi is because he has achieved trophies and success as a player while playing in different countries across Europe. Messi by contrast has spent his entire professional career on the books of Barcelona.

“The difference with Messi is that I played for several clubs and won the Champions League with different clubs,” said Ronaldo as quoted by The Mirror.

“I was top scorer in the Champions League six seasons in a row. There aren’t many players who won five Champions League trophies, so this is why I feel that I can identify myself with this tournament.”

Ronaldo has won League titles in three out of Europe’s top five leagues

During his career so far, Ronaldo has had success with Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus. He won three Premier League titles and one Champions League while on the books of United. The nine year spell which he had with Real Madrid is widely viewed as the most successful of his career. During his time with Los Blancos, Ronaldo went on to win two La Liga titles and four Champions League titles with three being in succession (between 2016-2018).

He also managed to win the Serie A with Juventus last season. Now in his second season with the old Lady of Italian football, Ronaldo will be aiming to help them to win the Champions League this season and in the process, secure Europe’s Premier Club competition with a third club.

Embed from Getty Images

Ronaldo has also outdone Messi on the international stage

The comparisons between Ronaldo and Messi will likely never end even once the duo have retired. Another area is which Ronaldo has performed better than Messi is on the international stage. CR7 has two international titles to his name which are the 2016 European Championship as well as the inaugural UEFA Nations League. Messi by contrast has never won a major international tournament. He ended as the best player during the 2014 World Cup but his country subsequently went on to lose the final against Germany.

It can also be argued that Messi plays alongside more gifted team-mates for Argentina while Ronaldo by contrast has been viewed as single handily carrying Portugal in professional football for more than a decade.

Embed from Getty Images

The post Ronaldo Explains Why He is Better Than Messi first appeared on Cristiano Ronaldo Fan | News, Photos, Blog, Pics, Videos.

Dimitar Berbatov has claimed that Manchester United star Marcus Rashford tries to emulate parts of the game of Cristiano Ronaldo. United may have struggled for consistency since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2013 but it is hoped that the young Rashford can fire them back to their glory days. The club have lost the iconic status in World football since the departure of Sir Alex with Rashford being one of the few homegrown talents that they can celebrate. The youngster has drawn comparisons to Red Devils legend Wayne Rooney. Since bursting onto the first-team scene back in 2015, he has gone on to make 112 Premier League appearances so far and found the back of the net 29 times. Rashford does still have plenty of flaws in his game, one of which is his finishing. However, he is still only 21-years-old and will get better and likely iron out many of the errors in his game during the next few years. “He’s different. He runs towards people, tries to beat people. He has the confidence. He is quick which I never was” Berbatov told the South China Morning Post. “He is working on his shooting technique, I....

“He’s different. He runs towards people, tries to beat people. He has the confidence. He is quick which I never was” Berbatov told the South China Morning Post.

“He is working on his shooting technique, I can see this. He’s trying to imitate Ronaldo with his free-kicks.

“The only thing he needs to work on is the finishing – the small details with his finishing. He’s still so young but he has experience.”

There is certainly credibility to Berbatov’s claims

Rashford grew up during a time when Ronaldo used to dominate the headlines for United so in all probability, he idolizes the Portugal international. CR7 also recently admitted during a recent interview with The Times that he still watches videos of Ronaldo and Messi and gains some tips from them on how to improve his own game.

So far, it certainly does not look like Rashford is as talented as Ronaldo and Messi. The latter duo were already regarded as world-class and among the best in the world when they were 21. Rashford by contrast is a quality player but it would be an exaggeration to say that he can currently be considered to be among the best in the World. Nevertheless, he is capable of developing into one of the best and can help lead United to silverware which is something that they have been lacking since 2013.

The post Berbatov Claims Man United Star Tries to Emulate Ronaldo first appeared on Cristiano Ronaldo Fan | News, Photos, Blog, Pics, Videos.

Manchester United ace Marcus Rashford has revealed that he watches video footage of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in order to improve his game. “I still watch clips of loads of players, Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar. “If they’ve done something at the weekend, I’d want to know how they’ve done it. Messi’s natural abilities are crazy. It’s a joy to watch him but also for the [way he uses] space” Rashford said, as quoted by The Times. “I remember the first time I played Barcelona in pre-season [in Maryland, 2017], the team were like clockwork based around him. “It wasn’t necessarily what Messi was doing on the ball that was, ‘Wow.’ It was the positions he was taking up, and how he affected a game without even touching the ball, that were also special. “When I was younger, I’d watch games, watch clips on YouTube, then go out, and try everything. I watched Ronaldinho doing that flip-flap. “I watched a lot of the Brazilian Ronaldo when I was really young. “Ronaldo was the one that made you love the game and want to try things that people wouldn’t normally try. Just everything. It’s not scripted.” Embed from Getty Images The 21-year-old....

The 21-year-old is expected to lead the line on a regular basis for the Red Devils this season following the departure of Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan. He will be hoping to emulate the heroics that Ronaldo performed at Old Trafford between 2003-2009.

Rashford certainly started the season well on Sunday as United romped to a 4-0 victory against Chelsea as he went on to bag a brace. The other goals on the day came from Anthony Martial and Daniel James who came on as a substitute.

Rashford who has drawn comparisons to United’s all-time top scorer Wayne Rooney will be looking to improve upon the 13 goals which he scored in all competitions last season.

United lack a player as gifted as Cristiano Ronaldo right now

United currently lack an attacker who is as gifted as Cristiano Ronaldo and this is one of the reasons as to why they are not really expected to challenge for any major silverware this season. It will be considered impressive if they attain a top four finish while playing well in the Cup competitions and giving the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City a run for their money. They will also be hoping that the likes of young talent such as Rashford, Aaron Wan Bissaka, James and Mason Greenwood can blossom this season.

There is little chance of Ronaldo coming up against United this season

There is little chance of United coming up against Juventus this season. The only way that that could potentially happen is if the Old Lady of Italian football play poorly during their Champions League group stage games and drop down to the Europa League where United will play this season.

The post Man United Ace Watches Videos of Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi to Improve Game first appeared on Cristiano Ronaldo Fan | News, Photos, Blog, Pics, Videos.
