Cristiano Ronaldo’s switch from English Club Manchester United to Real Madrid this coming June has become a bigger probability following recent reports from the Spanish media.

In addition to the fact that the CR9 tag is now a brand on the market – which might explain that Ronaldo could be a Madrid player where he will carry the number 9 jersey – there have also been good news from a Los Blancos point of view, as Madrid have received a considerable help to boost their bid for the Portuguese Superstar.

Speaking to Cadena SER radio on the program “El Larguero”, Jose Ramon de la Morena revealed that Copa Libertadores’ and McLaren-Mercedes F1 team’s corporate Banco Santander, also the largest bank in the Euro region, have allowed Real Madrid a massive loan of €70 million to add to their Ronaldo transfer bid this summer.

The Spanish Giants are believed to add a lot more money to the €70 million credit amount for the bid to hit or surpass the €100 million mark, which would make things very difficult for Manchester United to hold back their talismanic ace Cristiano Ronaldo.

According to Spanish Sports daily AS, the World Champions will have very few options but to sell Ronaldo should a fee be reached and especially, should the 24 year old decide to leave the club; Coach Ferguson is reported to have signed a written agreement under the will of Cristiano Ronaldo back in the 2008 summer when the pair met in Lisbon, which will make it much more easier for Ronaldo to quit Old Trafford.

However, it is understood that the Red Devils will still be allowed to launch an aggressive objection to the transfer only if details of the agreement are to be revealed to the media and that it has a harmful effect against Manchester United.

But Real Madrid – who are rebuilding their club following Calderon’s exit – are very much unlikely to commit such a unreasonable mistake that would see their dream of landing Cristiano Ronaldo in Spain collapse.

At this point, it will only be down to one person to decide the outcome of the saga, and this person is none other than Cristiano Ronaldo.

Last summer’s soap-opera prodigal son has consistently insisted this season how much he was committed to Manchester United beside his dream of winning more titles with the English club in the future. On the other hand, the Portuguese Star made it clear in August that he will be ending his Manchester United career in June 2009 to become a Galactico sooner rather than later.

So what about that? There are now more twists in the tale in this transfer saga.

One thing is sure… June 2009 will be the most defining moment in Ronaldo’s career in terms of decisions and character.
