Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has insisted he is relaxed over his future despite interest from Manchester United.
The 28-year-old has yet to sign a new contract at the Bernebeu, even though Carlo Ancelotti is confident he can keep the Portuguese out of United’s clutches.
Real are hoping to close out a deal for Gareth Bale before the window closes, as they seek to wrest the La Liga title back from Barcelona.
But Ronaldo appears to have slammed the door shut on returning to Old Trafford, declaring that he is happy at the Bernebeu.
“My contract renewal is not something that worries me at this point,” Ronaldo told Spanish paper AS.
“These things develop naturally and sooner or later there will be clarity.
“Things are going well and my contract situation is not a problem for me.
“I am happy with the way things are going. It’s not as if the world is coming to an end.”
Ronaldo has netted an astonishing 200 goals since joining Real for a world record fee of £80m in 2009.
