Real Madrid vs Sporting Gijon: Cristiano Ronaldo To Keep His Hot Form

Cristiano Ronaldo has scored in each of his last 6 games for Real Madrid in La Liga and he netted 8 goals in the process.

Now as Los Blancos pursue their domestic campaign with a home game against Sporting Gijon on Saturday, Cristiano Ronaldo is poised to live up to expectations one more time.

Much of the spotlight has been shifted onto Barcelona’s Argentine playmaker Lionel Messi lately as a result of his excellent work for the Catalans.

But Cristiano Ronaldo is also making progress on his own under the Real Madrid jersey. The Portuguese superstar will be facing Sporting Gijon for the first time with the aim of breaking their goal line.

Ronaldo had to seat out the first leg of this game because of injury in the first period of the season. The match ended 0-0 and Real Madrid therefore dropped two valuable points.

But currently, the Spanish giants are on top of La Liga and they will create a three-point gap for at least 24 hours if they manage to defeat Sporting Gijon.

Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to be on target for Real Madrid again.
