The Spanish League competition between Real Madrid vs Barcelona will take it’s effect on Argentina friendly match against Portugal tomorrow.
Messi is on his peak performance with his current club, collecting 24 goals for Barcelona who stands first on the Spanish League Table list. While Ronaldo performance with Real Madrid is equally with Messi, also collecting 24 goals with second place in the League standings.
But for Portugal coach, Paulo Bento, the match will not only about Messi versus Ronaldo, but the most important thing he wanted to strengthen the Portugal team, so they can managed to work well as a team, just like they did last November when they trashed WC 2010 Champion with 4-0.
“We must keep the momentum of victory, we should be able to make Ronaldo perform his best. But on the other hand, we have to strengthen the defense to ensure Messi to not get any chance at all, “said Bento.
For the match, Bento will play Ricardo Quaresma, as a duet partner for Ronaldo, that proved successfull in the last few games.
“We want to win and play the best as possible, because this is the opportunity to prepare before the Euro qualifier against Norway in June,”explained Bento.
For Argentina team, Messi will play as a single striker.
