Portugal superstar forward Cristiano Ronaldo, the 2013 FIFA World player of the year, will be ready for Monday’s Group G match with Germany in Salvador.
Ronaldo has been battling knee and thigh injuries in recent weeks, missing two of Portugal’s World Cup warm-up matches.
Yesterday Ronaldo left the training session in middle with ice pack on his left knee. Questions raised on his fitness after that ‘Will He be Ready ?’ for the debut clash against Germany?
But Portugal teammate William Carvalho said Ronaldo is good to go.
“I think he’s now 100 percent fit,” Carvalho, a forward from Sporting Lisbon, said after Portugal’s training session Friday.

Cristiano Ronaldo told Portuguese media that his troublesome left knee was fine on Thursday during a training session in which a fan ran onto the field to get his autograph.
Ronaldo, who has suffered tendinosis around the knee, gave a thumbs up to RPT television when asked if he was 100 percent physically and said “it’s fine.”
Around 10,000 fans watched the open training session in Campinas in a carnival atmosphere.
At one point, a woman ran onto the pitch to try and reach Ronaldo, evaded one security guard and ran another 40 metres before being brought down by another.
Ronaldo, who played in Portugal’s 5-1 friendly win over Ireland on Wednesday, went over to sign his autograph on her shirt before the Portugal players threw shirts into the crowd amid hysterical scenes.
Left back Fabio Coentrao was the only player to appear on the Portuguese federation’s daily medical bulletin after he missed training because of a bruised right buttock.
Portugal face Germany in their opening World Cup game on Monday.
“Portugal will not change our style or identity against any opponents,” said midfielder Joao Moutinho in a news conference after the practice. “We have to impose our type of football.”

Player of the Year 2013 Cristiano Ronaldo Trained with his National Team Squad ahead of the Friendly against Cameroon on wednesday night.
Portugal will face Cameroon in a world cup 2014 friendly preparation match at Lisbon.

Portugal will play Israel on October 11 and Luxembourg on October 15, 2013 in a World Cup Qualification match.

Despite not performing against Azerbaijan, Cristiano Ronaldo still joined Portugal training session.
On earlier interview, Cristiano Ronaldo was asked about the last match against Israel, also about his decision to stay with the team.
”I want to stay with the team and support them. I’m sad after the last game, and want to stay to give contribution for the team. The last game was a huge mistake which can’t be repeated, but I still think positive and we can still make it.
