25-150x209 Ronaldo left out of Euro 2008 squad!

Cristiano Ronaldo has failed to make the 23 man squad announced by UEFA, to be considered the best at this years international tournament.

The talented forward has won everything in sight in English football last season and was quite rightly the talk of the tournament leading up to Euro 2008.

Even during the tournament, Portugal performed well in the group stages with Ronaldo featuring quite significantly. However defeat to Germany in the quarter finals spelt the end of Portugal’s and indeed Ronaldo’s involvement. It seems this is the reason he has been overlooked by UEFA, the fact that Portugal did not reach the semi-finals.

But as far as the best 23 players at Euro 2008, one cannot believe that he has failed to make the cut. In fact most would agree it is an astonishing oversight by UEFA.
