This weekend huge projections of the Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo‘s new CR7 underwear campaign images, shot by Rankin, of Ronaldo in bright purple and orange pants were splashed across buildings in seven cities: Paris, London, Berlin, New York, Milan, Lisbon and Madrid.

Fittest Man Alive! Cristiano Ronaldo poses for record-breaking magazine cover

If people around the world didn’t already know who Cristiano Ronaldo is, they are about to.

The Real Madrid and Portugal superstar, 29, will appear on the cover of Men’s Health magazine in over 60 countries for the September edition in the largest global cover even in Men’s Health history.

Ronaldo’s abs  will be commonplace from Latin America to Europe, the Middle East to North America.

If you’ve got it, flaunt it.

In the U.S. edition Ronaldo will appear shirtless, the first time Men’s Health has done that since 2012, while Ronaldo’s body will adorn the cover of 41 editions of the magazine. The previous record was held by David Beckham back in 2012 when Becks was featured on 23 international editions of the publication from Rodale.

Most will see Ronaldo as eye-candy on the cover of this magazine, but the headline states that he is the “fittest man alive” and that you can steal his workout plans and diet secrets.

There you have it. If you want abs that look like a washboard, you know which magazine to buy in September.

Cristiano Ronaldo might have left the World Cup earlier than planned – but he didn’t look too bothered as he spent a night out with friends on Greek island Mykonos.

Real Madrid forward, who won his second Champions League title last season is enjoying his holidays on a greek island after early exit from the world cup. Last nigh  evening on the Greek island with a group of friends.

The former Manchester United man has some time off to relax and recuperate from the knee injury that troubled him throughout the tournament in Brazil before heading back to Madrid for pre season training.

And he looked in good spirits on Wednesday night, posing for photos with a smile that fans rarely got to see on Portugal duty this summer.

Ronaldo will be hoping to fully recover from his injuries in time to start the season with Real in late August.

Ronaldo has been named the world’s most marketable player

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has been named the world’s most marketable player, according to a new report by sports marketing experts Repucom.

Portuguese soccer hero Ronaldo the list and earned some extra bragging rights in the changing room, with a staggering 83.9 per cent of the world’s population knowing who he is.

Ronaldo has plenty to remember 2014 about already, as he has won his second FIFA Ballon d’Or global player of the year and Champions League winners medal.

The Repucom report found he was the most well-known and ”trend-setting” footballer in the game today.

The former Manchester United striker beat off fierce competition from Argentinian player Lionel Messi to the top spot. 

He scored another victory against Messi, who he surpassed to scoop the title of the UEFA Champion League’s top scorer, with a record breaking 17 goals.

British sports star Wayne Rooney, came in at 5th place on the marketability list, with Fernando Torres making a surprise appearance in the 4th spot, after struggling to adjust to life at Stamford Bridge, following his £50 million transfer from Liverpool FC.

The list which included Facebook likes and Twitter followers showed the Madeira born striker has a staggering 26 million Twitter followers, who avidly watch his daily musings and crave constant access to his thoughts.

Paul Smith, founder and boss of Repucom said: ”With just over a fortnight left before the 2014 FIFA World Cup kicks off in Brazil, the world’s attention is focussed on the competing teams and players.

”The World Cup is the most-watched sporting event in the world and as such, big brands, official partners or otherwise, will, and are, using its global appeal to drive sales.

”Ronaldo is an endorser’s dream. His value is as important to the teams he plays for as they are for the companies that endorse him.”

Third place on the list is Gerard Piqué, who has shot to more famous heights after having become involved with the famous hip-shaking Colombian singer Shakira.
This partnership seems to have increased his popularity significantly showing him to have 8 million followers on Twitter.

He is an accomplished football player who has a number of trophies under his belt, but ahead of the World Cup Cristiano Ronaldo is showing off some of his other assets.

Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is featured on the cover of the new issue of Vogue España magazine along with model girlfriend Irina Shayk.

The Madrid striker, who will suit up for Portugal in June, has stripped down to his birthday suit for the latest issue of Spanish Vogue.

On the racy cover, shot by renowned photographer Mario Testino, the 29-year-old star, poses with his model girlfriend Irina Shayk.

The Russian beauty looks stunning in a strapless white dress which features a thigh-high split but all eyes are on Ronaldo who stands naked behind her. It is only the fabric on her dress as well as the smart text placement that protects his modesty.

The cover was photographed by famous photographer Mario Testino, and the headline for the piece is ”Amor y Fútbol”, which in English is Love and Football.

Another image shows Ronaldo lying topless on a rug while Shayk straddles him. He turned up the heat by pulling down her trousers to reveal her pert bottom.

Shayk, who is a Victoria’s Secret model, described the shoot as ‘effortless’.

”Shooting with them was effortless and magical and like a family reunion sharing something as special as this together.” Irina Shayk told

The Vogue shoot was styled by  Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele, who decided to do us all a favour by getting Ronaldo to strip down to his birthday suit. Thanks Carlyne!

Ronaldo is not the first male star to go nude for Vogue.

In 2000, Robbie Williams appeared sans clothes for the British version of the fashion Bible. His provocative image was also shot by Testino.

It’s the first time the Real Madrid star has posed with his model girlfriend, who he’s been dating since early 2010, despite her incredibly successful modelling career.

The shoot goes out in the June issue of Vogue España and it was shot in the footballer’s home in Madrid.

The issue goes on sale in June.

Cristiano Ronaldo in New Nike Mercurial Launch

cristiano ronaldoAfter a victory over Bosnia Herzegovina in Euro 2012 playoffs round, Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Madrid to attend his new Nike Mercurial launched.

On the event, Ronaldo spoke about football and Real Madrid.

”We’re better and more mature. We entertain people. They enjoy to watch us, in both at home and the stadium. That’s what’s most important to us. We must think solely of ourselves.”

Ronaldo also spoke about titles, which he focused on winning.

”I want to win every game and also titles. I’m convinced we’ll win something this year. We will fight to win the three championships. Real Madrid must always fight for something important. We’ll win something if we keep up the good work. It is very important to us to be ahead of our main opponent. It motivates us.”

About the next La liga match against Valencia next Saturday, CR commented :

”We focus on each game at a time. We’re doing a very good job and have to be confident. We’ll try to earn a good result against Valencia. That’s all we think about. We know it will be a very difficult match and we’ll have to give our all. Valencia are playing very well and are currently third on the table. It won’t be like it was last season. We’ll have to play well and win.”

Ronaldo also mentioned about his fellow Portuguese, coach Mourinho and Carvalho.

”Jose Mourinho is hungry for victories and likes to do things well. We players try to improve and so do coaches. Carvalho is fine. He’s happy and motivated to come back. I also think Sahin is doing well. He is also anxious to play and is working hard to come back too. I wish he can help us.”

”We enjoy ourselves a lot because we feel a connection with the crowd. That means we play well and that people are happy. You feel those positive vibes on the pitch.”
