Birthday boy Cristiano Ronaldo stronger than ever, now aged 24

Critics have always fused against Ronaldo in his career but he has always managed to come back getting things right to silence the critics.

When Manchester United fans depicted him at age 20 as a dancing clown on the field deprived of the goal-scoring killer instinct, Cristiano Ronaldo came back transformed and led Manchester United to their first EPL trophy in three years with his 23 goals. When the so-called ‘big-game-flop’ missed his penalty in the Champions League semi finals against Barcelona, he corrected himself by scoring a super header in the final in Moscow against big gun Chelsea.

At 24 years of age now, Cristiano Ronaldo is even more experienced than ever. The Portuguese Star winger is certainly not at his best this season – though he is still good – but his strong ambitious and confident mentality shows his greatness and the importance of his presence at United.

Speaking to Inside United about the reigning European Champions’ clash against the Nerazzuri later this month, Cristiano Ronaldo explained:

“We will be tested to our maximum against Inter,”

“I always dreamed of winning this trophy [the European Cup]. I felt like a little child with his [new] toy when I touched it last season. It was a great feeling.

“We are a great team with great players.”

Indeed, with veterans like Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville and young talents like Rafael Da Silva and Anderson amongst other qualified professionals like Nemanja Vidic, Van der Sar and Ronaldo himself, Manchester United surely have what it takes to beat any opposition.

However, the Reds’ main challenge to overcome the hurdles in their road to success – as Cristiano Ronaldo once stated – is to maintain their concentration at the highest level.

Jose Mourinho has constantly been spying on United this season ahead of his Champions League encounter against Fergie’s team. The Portuguese coach even went as far as proposing Cristiano Ronaldo in person to leave the Mancunian champions for Inter Milan on the night when the Star winger clinched the Fifa Player of the Year award in Zurich.

This is all part of mind games, and Cristiano Ronaldo is well aware of it. It’s no new news from the controversial and disturbing Jose Mourinho! Manchester United just need to keep their cool and ignore his game – something which Ronaldo knows very well.

The grown kid of the Madeira Island – whose days as a 23 year old man are a thing of the past since February 5th – is not only Manchester United’s key player but also the team’s motivator in spirit.
