Manchester United’s Portuguese Superstar Cristiano Ronaldo continues to dominate the world of football after being selected in Fifa’s Best XI of 2008. The results were based on a worldwide survey conducted on FIFA.com.

The reigning World Player of the Year was emphatically elected with 52% of the votes ahead of Lionel Messi. Both complete the line of strikers upfront in a selection that had almost no surprises.

Spanish players filled most of the places with Xavi, Puyol, and Sergio Ramos all included in the squad.
