Real Madrid confirm giving up Ronaldo move

Real Madrid’s president Calderon gave an interview yesterday where he admits that they have given up the hunt on Cristiano Ronaldo.

”We are not going to start a conflict,” Calderon said. ”You can’t buy what the owner doesn’t want to sell. We have not interfered with United’s contract agreement with Cristiano Ronaldo. We’re sorry that United – a club with which we have an excellent relationship – is annoyed with us because Real Madrid have nothing to do with that aspect.

”I want to clear this up with him and assure him we are not going to influence any player to break a contractual relationship. We are not going to start a conflict. If a club doesn’t want to sell a player, why would we insist that they do sell him?”

Ronaldo: The happiest day of my life

A Champions League final that had everything, what a drama. As many of you believed Cristiano Ronaldo scored, he did 1-0 with a nice header. Chelsea came back and equalized. The match went to extra time but without any goals the penalty-shootout was a fact.

Cristiano Ronaldo stepped up and was ready to take his penalty and he…..missed. What looked so good suddenly turned out to a nightmare for the superstar. Which soccer betting fans could have predicted that?

”I don’t know what to say, I thought we would lose when I missed”

But after that both Terry and Anelka missed their penalties for Chelsea and Manchester United won the title, despite Ronaldo’s miss.

”I thought it would be the worst day of my life, but the lads believed and we won it even despite my miss. I’m very proud of them. The penalties are a lottery. I think we deserved it because we played better in the whole game.

”Now it’s the happiest day of my life,”

Man Utd, chief executive: Ronaldo is staying!

Fans who have been worried about a Ronaldo transfer to Real Madrid can now be calm. In a radio interview with Manchester Uniteds chief executive, David Gill says:

”He’s got four more years with us, has been with us for five and we’re sure he’ll be with us for many years to come,” Gill told BBC Radio 5 Live.

”We’re keeping him. We’ve no intention of letting him go and will make sure he’s happy. He’s going nowhere.”

”He’s at a great club, winning trophies, and enjoys it immensely here, so why would he want to leave?” he said.
