Ronaldo on world player shortlist of 3

Ronaldo has made it to the world player of the year shortlist. He is up against AC Milan’s Brazilian star Kaka, who is the favourite, and Argentine Lionel Messi.
A player from the premiership has never won the award so Ronaldo is not favoured to win the award.
It was last won by Italy defender Fabio Cannavaro in 2006 after his tromendous world cup.

Ronaldo scores in 2-2 draw

Cristiano Ronaldo scored in the 2-2 draw at Arsenal yesterday. United were set to win the game until Gallas saved the game for Arsenal in the 90th minute.
Utd were leading at half time as Gallas knocked in Rooney’s effort into his own goal. Fabregas then replied 2 minutes after half time to make it 1-1. Ronaldo scored in the 82nd minute to make it 2-1 to Utd.
In the dying moments of the game Clichy’s cross created a goalmouth scramble which ended with a shot from Gallas which, even though Van der Sar clawed it out, had clearly crossed the line.
